Whats the poshest Hotel you've stayed in

Probably the Mena House Oberoi in Cairo. It’s Marriott now but I don’t think it was back then. Very opulent and overlooking the Pyramids which was nice.

when i was in sales , the top so many salespeople won a trip every year, i won a trip every year, and all the hotels we stayed in were excellent, but one in particular stood out, it was a hotel on a golf course in marbella, that posh it had separate bedroom and lounge, not to mention the private balcony overlooking the golf course , not sure they've seen a pissed up knobhead stark bollock naked stood on the balcony wall with a sock covering his privates shouting at his colleges below before :)
Hope it was half-term. You could be put on the sex register for that if the kids were there!

Horse and Jockey hotel in the village of Horse and Jockey in Tipperary. Not that far from Coolmore Stables.
The first time I went was to a wedding reception and it was just a smallish venue but well run and friendly.
Over the years it has grown and is now a hotel, spa, health club and restaurant but it retains the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Plus the beauty of the surrounding area is a bonus.

When I worked in India I used to get to stay in the pretty luxurious hotels around New Delhi's diplomatic enclave. A bit offset by the slightly unnerving number of automatic weapon toting guards and military around the places.

The best thing about a posh Indian hotel was if you found yourself with a bad bug the bathrooms were as large and well appointed as asome normal hotel rooms so having to live in the bathroom for 3 days wasn't quite as bad as it would otherwise have been!
Men’s room attendants were an absolute pain. I’m a no-talking, no eye-contact kind of FOC when I’m about to empty myself. I don’t need a smile and a friendly greeting from a total stranger. Not my scene. But the Oberois were all pretty splendid.

The “poshest” was a 3 star in Rio for the World Cup. Doubt it would get anything over 1 star anywhere else in the world.

The Poshest is probably Claridge’s in London. Possibly the dictionary definition.

The best would have to be the Bellagio in Vegas.

Best would be riviera maya Mexico in arrival we where asked to look at the pillow menu.
Stunning place.
Now the worst would be the one we stayed in istanbul ha ha fucking hilarious it was so bad.

The Wembley Hilton when we played Wigan. I think it was something like £175 for the night and that was just the room lol. Big room, massive telly and music in the bathroom but not worth the money. Well actually it might have been for that game as I didn't have far to run in the monsoon at the final whistle.

I once stayed in a hotel where someone had shit in the kettle it wasn’t in my room but when I was checking in someone was in reception kicking off about it

Germany Berlin. City "Hold me bag while I pay" Then fuckin legs it out of the hotel. Ive got his rucksack, looked like a turtle. Ive gone chasing him. Swug the shitty drink thing at the side of the bed. Didnt know they charge

Bet it wasn't cheap either.

Some of the big posh hotels are all fur coat and no knickers.

I remember a night with my ex at The 4* Malmaison, Dundee. I think i paid £120 , was ok but not worth it. Ex gf asked for a banana at breakfast as there wasn't any . - "Just a minute madam i think we have some". Waiter came back a few minutes later with an over ripe banana that was brown with a split skin! I took a photo and sent it to their HQ asking if they thought it was acceptable. They said it wasn't and gave me a full refund which i thought was acceptable. Won't be staying with them again because they charge too much for what you get.
Are you sure she wasn’t asking for your banana? I hope you didn’t send a photo of that to their HQ.
