When is something going to be done about the Ticket Office?

My Blue Card arrived this morning.

I want to book a ticket for the Wigan match. I will be leaving Edinburgh for Bristol on Monday and then on to Manchester on Wednesday.

The online payment form makes provision for a delivery type. No other option but deliver is given.

I assumed that the details would be loaded to my account and I could use the Blue Card to get in. If this is the case why would anything be needed to be delivered?

I am confused.

It gets loaded onto your card, make sure in the ticket type bit it doesn't say "paper ticket" and actually uses your membership in there. If not, just ring up.

Thanks

I will try that.

Me personally - never had a problem obtaining tickets/cup schemes etc.....

However the ticketing system on the whole does appear to be confusing and quite hard to obtain tickets, unless you were relatively comfortable using websites and or already an existing fan.

My father-in-law wanted to come along to a match with us, we had to register him as a new supporter, being just under 70 he felt uncomfortable about giving personal details, so this already ruled him out.
We did register him - but the club did not send his access card.

Anyway tried buying tickets just on my SC, but haven't been allowed to.
WTF?

Needs to be more streamlined.

I always had 50/50 service with the ticket office, sometimes they were brilliant and so easy and other times they were so frustrating.

It has got worse since last season though.

This^^

Got to agree that the staff are great when you get throu but the system is shit, in fact not as good as shit.
Got my ticket for Napoli on the cup scheme ok. When i tried to buy for 2 of my "Friends and Family FF" it let me buy the 1st but then kept giving a "this supporter has exceeded his limit" message when I tried to buy the 2nd. Tried all day to get throu on the phone, including waiting on the line for over an hour at one point but no chance. Went on F&F the following day and it let me buy the 2nd ticket. Needed to get a 3rd ticket for a none season carder F&F this morning and would not let me buy again. Kept pressing the selected seat until it finaly let me have it. They must be losing sales.
Why no tickets on sale for weeks on end then Wigan>Napoli>Fulham>EDS>Everton>Bayern Munich all on sale over the same few days??????

I've had all sorts of problems with the ticket office over the years, and familiarity with websites has nothing to do with it.

City's ticket office was dreadful before the internet and before computers. If anything technology seems to make it worse. At least in the old days when you paid for and eventually got your ticket you knew you were going to get into the ground. I've had several upgrades and cup tickets fail to work at the turnstile using the computerised systems.

One thing City can usually (not always) manage with no problems is the renewal of my season ticket. This season they even bungled that, though because their error eventually ended up in my favour financially I stopped trying to correct it, especially as the ticket office seemed genuinely clueless and incapable of understanding what I was on about when I told them of the problem in the first place, and didn't return calls as promised.

I truly hope somebody smart enough at the club begins to notice the frequency of these ticket threads and understands that there are issues to be resolved. Making it difficult for fans, that the club already have registered, to buy tickets by phone is complete folly.

Agree with the original posters main point, for a club that's doing nearly everything else right/better why not make selling more seats easier, response times are unacceptable. If it's down to me to sort our tickets out next time I will not be waiting 4 hours, I'll be watching it on the T.V.
Hopefully the club will do what is necessary to increase revenue for cup games.

I assist a SC holder who's Walking Ambulent.

We sit in 101, corner of East Stand and North Stand. Car pass for North Car park, so we walk up Joe Mercer Way.

Every year we're allocated Entrance D. Always change it to entrance B at he top of JMW, which is yards away from our seat, to cut down on excessive and unnecessary walking.

Tried to change it this year, but T.O. say it's not possible anymore.
Fkng useless.
