When Is The Club Going To Stop Selling Tickets In The Home End To Away Fans?

Its always been the case. If you want to go to a game you can get a ticket.

Ive sat in the home end in a hell of a lot of city away fixtures.

V everton in the league cup, 87 ish ? Beat us 2-0. We had a huge following that night. All
One end and the top tier of their main stand. Sat on my hands and stood up when they scored

Liverpool a few times. One that stands out was when nial quinn scored a last min equaliser, 92 ish? Couldnt help jump up. As the red dippers didnt mind us back then there was no mither, just a few shouts of “sit down ya manc bastards”.

United more times than i can remember.
Was in the main stand when they beat us 5-0 , was that on a thurs night?
Was back in the kenny in cheadle hulme before full time.
As a 16 year old in the paddock when brightwell ‘just wellied it’.
A lad i know walked down the touchline and saw me and shouted “what are you doing in there ya blue bastard”.
Neednt have worried, was rammed with blues that day.

Bradford away in 89 when morley sent us up. I was 14 and was keeping my head down, when morley scored the whole stand erupted.

Blackburn away promo i was in the city end but we took over the whole stadium

Plus many more

So yeah, we cant say anything, in years gone by we have taken over whole towns and stadiums. How it is

The club is only interested in maximising profits. They aren’t bothered who’s sat in front of you or behind you. As long as that seat isn’t empty they don’t care.

Soriano, Danny Wilson & Co.

Or is it all about growing match day revenue no matter who the home tickets are sold to, via any means available?

There are plenty of posts in the atmosphere thread about Arsenal fans in the City ends today and trouble breaking out.

There will be an extra 8000 tickets to sell in the future. 8000 more reasons to sell tickets to anyone in the home ends, including away fans.

Sort out this on-going problem of away fans getting tickets in the home end before somebody gets seriously hurt.

One example.

M23 Citizen - Atmosphere thread.

Well there was a big fight in the Family Stand late on today, so it’s clearly not a good idea.

Also nearly kicked off in 104, about five Arsenal fans sat together all jumped up when they scored their first and lads were going over from both 103 and 105 to have it with them.
How do you know it is City selling the tickets and not City fans flogging them on?

Emailed city about this today and typically they passed the book.

Fan Support (Man City)

24 Sept 2024, 09:21 BST

Good morning,

The problem with away fans in home areas isn't a Club specific issue. Unfortunately, supporters who are permitted to purchase home tickets sell them on. This can result in away supporters being in possession of tickets for home areas.

The ticket Terms and Conditions are clear, in that no away fan is allowed to utilise a home match ticket. Stewards actively engage and eject those supporters who contravene this, and we look to take further action against those ticket holders when they are identified.

If you see away supporters during the game in home areas, please make a member of staff aware. If you are unable to do this, then you can reach out after the game via this email or touting@mancity.com.

Kind regards,

Ticket Compliance Manager
