When Lampard's loan ends aren't we a CM short?

This is a big problem IMO, 4 midfielders is enough for a season but not if you havd one going AFCON and the other going in February.

Hardly a big problem though, we can buy someone in Jan.

The trouble with that Rammy is that apart from the quota allowance the new signing would have to hit the floor running and very quickly learn our style of play. Big ask!

If we feel it's that big of an issue we can recall Zuculini. Himself and the two Ferns will give us a good enough depth and balance in midfield until after ACON.
Btw, isn't there a good chance ACON won't go ahead if the Ebola/Boko Haram things are still ongoing?

Ivory Coast have actually threatened to pull out of their next qualifier over Ebola fears.

I wish Yaya would just retire from international football tbh. I expected him to after the World Cup but maybe he wants one last attempt at AFCON.

Very bad thing is that Yaya will be in africa when we are playing against Arsenal at home and Chelsea away... Very unlucky

Can't blame them if it's an affected area. The CAF need to pull their heads out of their arses and start organising a proper tournament, every four years and away from the European club season and WC like everyone else, if they're not willing to do that we really should start refusing to release players.

Need to make a move for Tom Cleverly as soon as possible.

9 million for a player of his calibre is a steal. He's an England international and has experience of coming through the famed United academy along with the likes of Rooney and Di Maria.

Also, he should be available considering United won't sell him to a rival. Hence ruling Hull and Villa out of the running.

How about bidding for wellbeck while we are at it? Young and English. Nice replacement for negredo.
