I'm about to make some cheese crackers, I've been craving them all day.
Right, your use of the term 'Trackers' means something important to me. I would be interested to know what year you are talking about. Me and a mate used to build bikes when we were about 14, which would make it 1971 or thereabouts. We called them Trackers though I have no idea where the term came from. The bikes were single speed with a fixed wheel (so no brakes to get clogged up with mud) and we used big knobbly tyres and what were known then as 'cowhorn' handlebars (which modern Mountainbikers would recognise as wide risers). We used to take them off road all around where we lived (Cadishead). From what I know of the history of Mountainbiking, these developments were roughly in time with the development of Mountainbiking in the USA, specifically California. You are the first person since '71 I have heard use that expression 'Tracker' Thanks mate.trackers we used to call them with big handle bars, had a mate that was brilliant at making the bikes
I also remember taking my daughters swimming to Barnsley metrodome. Lost the youngest when we came out of the pool. I told my eldest(8) to go look for one way whilst I searched the other. At least 5 minutes had gone by and I was getting very worried frantically searching for my youngest aged 2. I went to the main reception and told the lady there that my youngest was missing. After giving a description of her and mentioning she was wearing a pink costume, she decided it best to call the police. By this time myself and eldest plus about half a dozen staff were scouring the complex. I had a thousand emotions of dread whizzing through my mind. Just as 4 police officers came through the door, one of the staff led my girl up the stairs towards me. I had tears of joy and relief streaming down my cheeks. She'd only been hiding in one of the bloody lockers all that time the little mischief. Lol.There are two kids on my street who wear City shirts. I've seen a few round here. Mostly you see Barnsley and Rag shirts.
