When / why did you become a City fan?

Dad took me to my first game in 1971 the original 3-3 v rags I spent most of the game watching the crowd, the noise o the noise.

My Dad took me to City reserves from 1969 to 73 and then to the first team in the 73 - 74 season. First game Norwich at Maine Road, 8th September, 2 -1. Also went to Old Trafford Derby that season, the Denis as done it one.

Since I joined Blue Moon. I was only looking for a bokkle of craft beer.

My old man was a rugby league and cricket man, never into football much but in 1978 he took me to City v West Ham. We won 3-2 and that was all it took, I was hooked

and we had to start somewhere.

For me I was on holiday in July 2011 (shortly before the start of the season) and I saw this on PL's greatest goals..



My jaw was on the floor. I'd never seen someone make the defense utterly stupid with magic in his boots. El Mago indeed!

So where did your love affair with City start?

Probably pre-birth as my whole family were Blues from the early 1900’s at least! My first game was 4 September 1959. Hooked for life.

Some of my ancestors immigrated to the United States from Britain over a century ago. The part of my family that came from Britain to the United States was from Manchester. I knew when I got interested in the Premier League about a decade ago that I wanted to support a team from Manchester. Ultimately, I went with City because the club felt a bit like an underdog trying trying to overthrow the establishment to achieve greatness. I wanted to be apart of that process.

1963 Dad took me to City v Utd 1-1 Alex Harley became my hero as he scored...May have already left when Quixall equalised from the spot.
