When/why did you join Bluemoon?

I'm from the states, so I got interested in football not too long ago. Some friends in college got me into football. An engineer from Bulgaria-Barca supporter, A Pharmacist and on our College's Club "Soccer" team-Rags supporter, another engineer friend- Real Madrid Supporter. I knew members of my college's Soccer team (on scholarships), I played intramural basketball with them, and many were Chelsea supporters.

I decided to take up a club to support with no allegiances as I could not debate with them whose club was best. I watched a few matches Chelsea first- they didn't resonate, then Bayern- commentary killed me, and lastly I watched City play Salzburg in the Europa League. Adam Johnson had this mazy solo goal that was awesome to watch and chose city then and there. Little to my knowledge City's history mirrored my other love, the New York Knicks! trying to find an outlet where there were other city supporters, it led me to bluemoon.
 
I joined bluemoon on February 2012 because my dad kept talking about it and I wanted to chat with some fellow bluemooners.. Being 23 years old and growing up with all rag mates I don't have many people who I can chat to about city
 
My friend not only got me into supporting Man City but Football in general and I had wanted/needed to know more about the sport and City in general. I've been on other forums (gaming) and they were always great for getting information and learning more so I decided to start stalking, then eventually joined. Seriously you only need to go back 4/5 years and I didn't know shit about football beyond occasionally playing in a park.
 
606 was in a downward spiral of shite threads and worse modding, I'd joined another City forum with some of the 606 posters which was small but fun. A few posters left though and it just got too quiet so I came across to bm, which had a terrible reputation on other forums, most of that is misplaced though and I've been here ever since.

What i would love to know is from those who became city fans under the last three years. i would love to know how you get into football and why they chosed city. Everyone has been there ones and everyone have their own reasons for supporting a club and watch football. In the end its entertainment. the New fans from around the world you are the ones who help city grow into a global brand so no one should be afraid to admit the reason they support city.

Why i write this post is because everyone on all forums seems to have been city fans for 30 years. :)
 
Began reading 2008-09, but only sporadically. Then, the weekend Balotelli burned his house down and then Old Trafford two days later, I was getting the latest information from this forum. I only joined and began posting near the end of the Championship season.

That was the one with the bloke with the umbrella. it now transcribes there was 3000 on that tram, Bit like York away
