When/why did you join Bluemoon?

May 2005, 8 long years.

Joined to post on a few threads and generally killed them. Call myself 'The Thread Killer' as nobody posts after I post. Never reached legend status, never will.

Best ever members? Billybluehat and Big Mal's Cigar. Johnmc and jimharri aren't that bad either.

Here is my answer I had back on page 6 to your very question haha:

I'm from the states, so I got interested in football not too long ago about 3 years ago. Some friends in college got me into football. An engineer from Bulgaria-Barca supporter, A Pharmacist and on our College's Club "Soccer" team-Rags supporter, another engineer friend- Real Madrid Supporter. I knew members of my college's Soccer team (on scholarships), I played intramural basketball with them, and many were Chelsea supporters.

I decided to take up a club to support with no allegiances as I could not debate with them whose club was best. I watched a few matches Chelsea first- they didn't resonate, then Bayern- commentary killed me, and lastly I watched City play Salzburg in the Europa League. Adam Johnson had this mazy solo goal that was awesome to watch and chose city then and there. Little to my knowledge City's history mirrored my other love, the New York Knicks! trying to find an outlet where there were other city supporters, it led me to bluemoon.

Like many I had lost quite a lot of interest in City, moved away from Manchester, family, mortgage you know the kind of thing.

But I always tried to stay in touch with what was happening, and I stumbled on this place, I actually viewed as a guest for quite a while before I joined, it's a great place and it rekindled my love of the club.

It was the first full summer after the Abu Dhabi takeover and with wild rumours circulating about who we were going to buy, I went onto the official site to get more info.

The info on the site was quite scant but then I saw a section that said fans sites or something to that effect and saw loads of forums advertised. I just picked the nearest one to the cursor and ended up on here.

After looking through the site, I decided to grace you all with my considerable presence and I duly signed up. After considering my contribution to this site over the years, you lucky bastards on here have definitely got the better end of the bargain, so count yourselves blessed to have me!!!

When: 2nd May, 2009

Why: My ex-girlfriend had a guy to stay over at her place, so being young(er) and stupid(er) I just decided to sign up to take my mind off it. When those problems went away I stopped posting until around August 2009 when I just decided to come back.
