When/why did you join Bluemoon?

Been here for a little while after another forum imploded over a Mancini must go thread (in his early days) and the forum became too quiet.

I've posted a lot on Music Association Game and sometimes on City and United related issues but usually avoid contreversy as I have a terrible temper when riled.
 
January 2011. A place where I can talked City without driving the Watford, Spurs, Arsenal and United fans round the twist.
 
The reason i joined was a rag mate sent me a link in an e-mail to one of Pam's rants. Joined straight away and post occasionally. The joys of diccussing Sun Jihai with Scarblu had me hooked.

I rarely post about City anymore and spend nearly all my time in the Cellar with all the other nutters.

I was a long time reader of Bluemoon but only decided to join when I wanted to use the search facility to find Projectriver's posts about our dire financial situation at the time.

To answer this question specifically, I have only grown to appreciate and follow soccer gradually over the last 10 years or so. I visited Europe during Euro 2000 and had the opportunity to attend Netherlands 3:2 victory over France in Amsterdam and watching on the tele Belgium's opening match with my Belgian host family against Sweden and remember Emile Mpenza scoring the exciting 2nd goal.

As I began following club soccer more intently, I tried to track down where some of the players I was familiar with were playing. At the time Mpenza and US Captain Claudio Reyna were both with City and Reyna was the captain. So I was instantly a fan.

I joined as I had too much Stella and the MuEN advert was pissing me off.
