Where was you on the day of the takeover?

I was abroad myself, in Stockholm..just happened to pic up a paper at the Hotel and then it was me running straight down to the Internetcafe next to the tubestation for the rest of the day.
The poor hardcoregamers sitting there did look worried that a grown man was sitting there with tears in his eyes at times...:D

driving to work on nothhampton road, listening to talksport missed my turning and almost crashed in to the fence turning the radio up. work was fun that day. wife wasn't happy when I woke her up gone midnight to tell we'd signed robinio.

still burst into laughter every time I take a short cut behind sharps on northampton road.

-- Tue Jul 20, 2010 9:00 pm --

driving to work on nothhampton road, listening to talksport missed my turning and almost crashed in to the fence turning the radio up. work was fun that day. wife wasn't happy when I woke her up gone midnight to tell we'd signed robinio.

i was in hospital having a minor scan on my appendix.
thank god for hospital TV!!

I was in Cairo, I thought the text messages from my mates were bulls**t then my brother rang me screaming his head off. Great feeling, great day.

CTID

I was at work in Galway. i got a text from a rag and
thought it was a wind up. Then my brother rang me
nearly hysterical confirming that the dream i dreamed
all my adult life had come true.
What a day.
Just hope i live long enough
to see us win a trophy........Again.

On here mostly with a live stream of sky sports news, right up till midnight. Rung my ex (chelsea fan) singing down the phone to her when i heard we'd signed Robinho haha she wasn't impressed.

Family holiday in Portugal, me and the Folks are sat on the patio having our morning bru. Brother in his pit as usual.... All of a sudden Brother turns up at the patio doors in his boxers, bad bed hair, rubbing his eyes cos he's still wasnt quite awake saying "have you seen the news? we've been bought by some oil owning billionaires". His mate from back home had rang him with the news and woke him up.

We all ran into the villa to turn tv on, tried desperately to get some news, but with Dad's channel hopping every time we put a news channel on we got the last second of the report. we had to ban dad from touching the tv and sat there for over an hour waiting for the headlines to come back on.

Then i got my arse dragged to the nearest internet cafe where we spent the rest of the day camped on bluemoon.

Epic.

I remember being glued to the telly that night as the Berbatov and Robinho story unfolded, I remember Dave Bassett on Setanta News laughing at the mere sugestion of Robbie joining us, the best bit his face when it happened an absolute picture of amazement. And then fat Sam on Sky made a comment is now ringing true "if City can pull this deal off at this short notice, these guys in the years to come can sign anyone".
