Currys are a British invention so the only authentic one would probably be English.
I think it's a powdered sauce- in a bag like flour?
Curry however, is a British name for spicy Indian food. A bit like the good old Spag Bol isn't an Italian dish or Chilli Con Carne isn't a Mexican dish.Strange that as Kari's were being made in south and south east asia 4000 years before any recorded visits from europeans and before the English existed (we were brigantes and celts at the time)
