Is the op old by any chance?

I'm confused with the round tin can problem though..

nowadays the amazon package driver man drops off an enormous cardboard box containing a single toothbrush or hairclip or whatever. And i get it, their van space or boot capacity has been carefully calculated so as to fit as many items in whilst also, obviously, keeping the items secure and accessible. This makes the whole process more efficient.

Our cupboards are cupboard shaped (square/rectangle) so if tins were more cupboard shaped it'd definitely save space.. but how would you open them? The tins i mean, not the cupboards

This has always been a massive problem for me it was a big annoyance as you never guess right always wrong, but someone told us in the previous thread the trick is too look for the little arrow, that always goes to the bottom. I've not got it wrong since but then again i don't know if all usb have these
A little arrow is fine if you have good eyes or a magnifying glass. How about a simple raised 'button' or roughen up one side. That way you could feel which is top and bottom.

Although I'm not sure gaining another couple of inches in a cupboard is worth worrying about.

Yes mate ive just turned 70 how did you guess? The tin can problem it is believed if they were square you would fit more in your cupboards, they do have square tin cans that can open without a tin opener.

If the cans were square they would take up the same amount of room as the round ones unless they were not as wide, but then they would be taller and take up more room : )

should have worded better. meant to change from round to square someone mentioned it in the previous thread. The usb should defiantly be able to feel instead of see which way it goes, should be easily improved
