Easy to forget that during Liverpools period of dominance, virtually all players were born in the British Isles so a limited pool to choose from . Liverpool had the most money and would buy the best players from other teams on the basis that if they did not make their first team it would weaken the competition.

Liverpool supporters would boast how their reserve side would beat most other 1st teams. It was not a squad game like today. The expectation of entitlement continues to this day.

The rags have continued to struggled since that class of 92 was disbanded and Fergie left. They are light years away from us, Chelsea, Dippers and other top european clubs. I can see the Gooners taking their place amongst the English elite. Long live the Glazers and may they stay in power at the swamp for many years to come.

Most Rag fans (at least the ones from Greater Manchester, who have maybe been to a game or two) I've had the misfortune to interact with are entitled, condescending, and insufferably smug. Terrible winners and even worse losers.

However, for as much as I can't be doing with them, they do at least seem to be vaguely from the same planet as everyone else.

The hardcore Liverpool fans are a different breed entirely. Just a weird, sinister, cult mentality. And it's not just since their recent resurgence and rivalry with us, either. I lived in Liverpool for a couple of years when City were still bang average at best and the only people there I'd even entertain talking to about football were Evertonians.

The rags were exactly the same at the birth of Sky

The camera would pan down the bench and Tyler would almost cream his keks as he announced they had a bench of internationals

Well its nice to hear that Arteta means something to you guys, I'm personally of the impression he's doing a great job at Arsenal. Jesus is a brilliant player, surprised you sold him but also understandable from his POV because Haaland is going to be the best CF in the world for many years.

Anyway, I still don't have a clue about the Spurs hatred? Its not like they've ever won anything.
the spurs hate originates from the 1981 cup final & subsequent replay, then there was the cup quarter final at home in 93 pitch invasions and allsorts around & outside the ground it’s stayed with most blues this hate, try wandering up seven sisters road for spurs away was like only for the bravest back in the day, there’s been plenty of other encounters home & away for decades, and personally after united & liverpool spurs are my 3rd most hated team & before our recent hatred of the dippers for all the multitude of reasons spurs were in second spot firmly

Tend to agree with the overall vote, but before Arteta became Arsehole’s manager, they would surely be just behind Man Untidy and Liverpoop
