Rags 1st without a shadow of doubt, absolute vermin, growing up in the 70s every want to be hard man said they supported them, because they had a huge amount of hooligans following them and they wore it as a badge of honour. Wigan was full of them, it was quite dangerous being a City fan back then. City played a Northern Premier League side in a friendly at Springfield Park around 1974, loads of local United fans took up their usual position in the ground, 5 minutes into the game, a large group of City fans chased them all over the ground, it was brilliant, until I got the bus back home, got my head kicked in when I got off. Still the memory of them getting legged all over Wigan is still one of my favourite memories watching City.
United would be hooligans were publicly humiliated by film of them getting chased down Chester Rd by the "young governor's ". Dicks who claimed they supported " nited" as they had the biggest and best firm suddenly realised it might not be pain free. The arrogant f** k**s thought they could cheer United goals in home stands what they could get away with at Wimbledon could cost them a kicking at Maine Rd. Since the 90s people who support United have been attracted by success on the field, dried up in the last ten years, but footy affiliation handed down to offspring.

anything that winds that lot up be my guest pal, was nice to express our mutual hate for tottenham with all the decent hammers fans we encountered sunday, they took their defeat in good spirits, a good bunch those east londoners and any group fans who hate spurs & united will do for us, but i suppose you being arsenal would have different opinion of the irons

Not really tbh, I grew up amongst hammers fans and they're a decent bunch generally - good losers and good winners. There's a hammer on Arsenal-Mania where I post regularly as well and he seems pretty chill, so my experience with them is largely positive. He also said that losing to you guys was more or less a foregone conclusion, I guess as a West Ham fan you just go to see the world class players at City do their thing. I'm not a City fan but I respect class, and your team is full of it.

As an Arsenal fan I feel like we can probably cause you some problems now but I'm expecting to lose maybe 8/10 times and won't be too upset if we do, beating City doesn't matter to our ambitions, your team is better in basically every position and tbh if it means you finish above Liverpool again then all the better!

On the topic of Liverpool, they had some VERY favourable refereeing against us in the 07/08 CL quarter final. Some would say almost too favourable...and then I started to see this favourable refereeing in a lot of their games...so I started to see them the same as another Yanited at that point, just another favoured establishment team.

Of course Spurs have won something. They have won two more trophies than Everton, one more than Villa and just three trophies less than City in their history. City and Spurs are 5th and 6th in the all-time trophy list with 29 and 26 trophies respectively.

We’ve had some iconic games against Spurs where things got a bit heated. The Balet on Ice knocking them off their perch as the best team of the decade, 1981 FA Cup final/replay, FA Cup quarter final 1993 (pitch invasion by City fans), FA Cup comeback 3-4 at the Lane, Crouch scoring late on to put them into the CL and us out of it, the next year Crouch scoring an own goal in the same corner of the goal to his winner the year before to put City into the CL and Spurs out of it…

I personally dislike Arsenal more because of their constant moaning about City since the takeover. Racist abuse of Adebayor, Wenger accusing us of cheating, letters sent to the Premier League moaning about City and accusing us of breaking rules on Arsenal letter-headed paper, ring leaders in the letter to CAS…

Arteta can get fucked n’all, telling City he wasn’t going to leave then going behind our backs and meeting Arsenal in secret at his house at 2am and agreeing to join Arsenal, with Pep and Txiki not happy with him at all for doing that.

Of course I was being hyperbolic about Spurs winning nothing, but they've hardly won anything for decades. Last trophy was 2008. I was discounting it as a reason to be hated by City fans.

I personally don't see Arsenal fans moaning that much about City's takeover, maybe they are but I don't really notice it, and those who are possibly a bit of sour grapes as we were spending very little in those years.
Yanited have spent similar money to you in the last 10 years and their team is dogsh!t, so its not all about money. I did also find it hilarious when Yanited fans were moaning about Chelsea's spending from '03 when they had spent £30m on a centreback in 2002! Ever the hypocrites...

Regardless I'm not here to start arguments, I enjoy watching City and would prefer you win the league over Liverpoop or Chelsea every day of the week.

It wasn't Arsenal fans moaning about City but the club itself..... re-read the post you replied to, it is mentioned correctly in there

It's a toss up between utd and liverpool depending on who we are playing or who I am watching. I have never quite forgiven spurs for that cup final with that bloody Ardillias goal that was shown for 30 odd years on a seemingly endless loop whenever the fa cup was mentioned but I don't particularly hate them. Hate is a strong word but I happily apply it to the first two teams I mentioned.

A year or two ago I might have said both Liverpool and United, but I legit don't think Liverpool losing their first two games could bring me this much joy. Ever.
