Who’s gone in the summer?

It was mentioned to me a few months back and assume today's reports in Barca press are correct.

Agent Mendes reps both and has been trying to sort a compromise.

I really like Semedo.

I like him too, but again (in my opinion), it just causes such an unecessary selection headache for the club. It was the case with Danilo before and now with Cancelo.

Semedo will come in, there will be a bit of a buzz, but then when we see that he doesn't offer what Walker does, he'll play 20-25 games a season, predominantly against dross in the cups, and become unhappy with his contributions and force a move.

There will also be reports that he can act as a hybrid LB, so it makes sense due to his flexibility, but will then contribute to about 3 games at LB.

Until Walker stops being so crucial to the way we play and doesn't get 45/50 games a season like he has done since he joined, we're better offer having a quality younger player as a back up (perhaps one of our own that we've been hoarding and loaning out - Pedro Porro or our new signing Yan Couto) to allow time to develop in some cup games. If at the point Walker's declining and our backup hasn't stepped up, then is the time to go out and sign someone of Semedo's quality.

I just feel like the club doesn't often learn from it's mistakes in the transfer market when there are so many more pressing areas in the team.

Semedo for Cancelo could be good business.

Much more suited to us and seems an easy deal to do.

Barca looked far better against dippers last year when Semedo came on
Then the idiot manager started Sergei Roberto again at anfield
Good deal as cancelo wants out and semedo good replacement

Think we need to evolve a bit this year
What worked before has stalled a bit and needs a bit of a kick start
I would love full back who can affect the game
Our full backs don’t offer anything going forward and just play safe
Need game changers not passengers

Out:
Cancelo
Sane
Merlin
Otto or Stones
Bravo

In:
Yan Couto
Semedo
Martinez
Back up keeper.

Promote:
Foden - I expect next season will be his real breakthrough year.
Garcia - No reason he couldn't be a regular starter next season.
Braff - use him sparingly like we did with Foden.

We aren’t losing a centre back and not brining one in. That leaves us even shorter than this season.

I was thinking along the lines of either Stones and Otto leaving and Garcia taking their spot, Harwood Bellis would then be the back up.

Doubt with go into a season with only Stones and Laporte as our only experienced specialist centre backs. We’ll want at least 3 experienced ones with Garcia and Fernandinho as possibly 4rd and 5th choice.
Can see Harwood Bellis going on loan.

Walker was playing his best football for a good while before the break, he is what we say walking on very very thin ice with his off field shagging

The young kid from Brazil Couto hasn't signed for City to go play in another League Pep does fancy this kid so if signed maybe Somedo deal may not happen although Cancelo does sound like hard work hence his 3rd move in 3 years

If we do have the coin to spend after all this Covid 19 nightmare then it can only come from our fantastic owner & FFP beingvrelaxed??

How will Sky or will Sky pay the remaining position

Champions League money, will we only get what weve played

I guess what I'm saying is if the football season is scrapped then idont see much spending taking place apart from the sales of Sane & Cancelo

Dave, Bravo leaving & Cancelo will allow 3 foreigners RB, CH & LB for me but all depends on FFP case & who we sell

For what it's worth keep Leroy & let him go next year for free, Bayern want to pay fuckall & his price is dropping all the time

Get those 3 positions if possible then our new CF next Summer?

Got a feeling UTD will blow 350m on Kane, Sancho & Grealish

They will sell Pogba & Sanchez
