Who are you currently obsessed with musically ?

I wouldn’t say obsessed but I have been listening to quite a bit of Lana Del Rae recently. Not usually my kind of music but something about it....

Every few weeks there's a artist/group that I get really into and listen too constantly.
I read and watch anything that I can find based on that artists music career.
At this very moment it's the Rolling Stones. Such a great body of work that was overlooked by me due to the monstrous hits that overshadowed everything else they've done. I can't complain the hits are what introduced me to the group but the hits are also the least listened to on my Stones playlist.
Spotify is great for all this.
So who's work at this time are you exclusively hooked/focused on? How long has it been?
Currently listening to a few complete Beatles albums - not something I've done before although I enjoy many of their popular songs.

Been listening to lots of albums from two of my favourite artists: John Mellencamp and Beck.

Re: You comment about reading/watching anything by an artist - I went one stage further earlier this year. I researched and wrote a detailed article about one of my favourite albums of all time - "Living With The Law" by Chris Whitley. Whitley is a criminally underrated artist who sadly died in 2005, but not before releasing about 16 albums. As a singer/guitarist/poetic lyricist, he is a prime candidate for people discovering his music and wondering why the hell he isn't more well known.

In the spirit of spreading knowledge of his work as far and as wide as possible, here's my article on on the "Living With The Law" album and also one on "Dust Radio: A Film About Chris Whitley".

Last band that did this to me was CHVRCHES, A Scottish Synth pop band.

also rather good acoustic. this was a small lockdown set they did.

Cracking band, got tickets to see them next March at the Apollo.

As for me, Kurt Vile has been putting out incredible stuff consistently for years. This was his last single (although I think he's just done a cover of a velvet underground tune for a compilation album coming out soon).

Amy Winehouse.Been watching some of the docs on telly and realised I might have been missing something.
Not interested in her lifestyle stuff, just her as a performer.
one of the only female singers of the last 20 years i have listened to.,,,and liked.
Quite unique.
Talked it as she walked it.
