The best keepers I've seen play in this country are Pat Jennings and Peter Schmeichel.

Schmeichel was very good but I doubt he's among the very best although I don't think I've ever studied the subject enough to quantify comment therefore I shall bow out of this thread

In my lifetime schmeichel was an impenetrable force, just a solid brick wall. Can't comment on anyone before 1995.
 
I'm amazed at the lack of votes for VDS, he was fucking boss at Ajax, boss at Juve, boss at Fulham and boss at the rags when he was 40. In general he was fucking boss.
