I respect players like Puyol and del piero of spending practically their entire career at one club, especially Del piero. When the shit hit the fan he never jumped ship.
Of these I LIKE Javier zanetti, Paulo Maldini and believe it or not, paul scholes. They were undeniably talented, and all consummate professionals. Never outspoken and always gracious, whether winning or losing. (Scholes obviously had the grace the rest of the swamp donkeys didn't).

In addition to those I mentioned earlier, I'd add Ariel Ortega, an oft forgotten Argentine no.10 who had the misfortune to be labelled the "new Maradona" in the mid-90s. He was a very, very good player; but was never going to live up to his hype in the aftermath of Diego's demise.
