Who Needs shifting ?

lol...this thread has been done so many times before, i think its pretty obvious who needs to leave.

Aside from the obvious, Gareth Barry.

A lot of people are hating on Yaya here. but Barry is getting more past it by the game. Looks out of his depth in champions league games, has no pace and not enough physical presence.

Did a good job regardless last season, but think he's been poor all year and starting another season with him in our centre-midfield is hugely complacent, even if he does put a shift in.

Not a knee jerk I swear.

I'd keep Barry if he accepted a reduced wage with a new contract. As long as we aren't playing teams with a high pressing game he can still be very good for us and has been our standout in quite a few games this season. I'd keep him far away from Champions League games though, that's just a level too high for him.

depends on who the manager is and what system and tactics he wants to use.

however, for me i'd say-

1. Garcia - as much as I really want him to succeed it's blatantly clear he is nowhere near good enough. Far to slow and far to soft for the premier league.

2.Barry - historically been excellent for us imo, but this season has been one to far at this level plus he got totally embarassed in the CL. Is 32 and therefore will only get worse. Aston Villa would love him back.

3. Dzeko - imo has never ever been good enough. The Bundesliga would take him in a heartbeat and he'd get us a good fee.

4. Nasri - imo he isn't the player the world thought he was. Excellent at Arsenal but only showed fleeting glimpses here. Is good when things are going well but totally disappears when things aren't. Isn't a team player. Would command a decent fee and Arsenal would probably take him back in a heartbeat.

5. Tevez - a shadow of his former brilliant self. Has lost his ability to 'get away from' players and that was what he built his game on. Probably get next to nothing for him due to his age.

6. Kolarov - Never really understood what position he's actually supposed to play. Delivers excellent low crosses into danger areas but doesn't do much else. Woeful in the defensive phase. Utterly delusional about his 'deadball specialist' abilities. Be great in Serie A.

7. Maicon - Tasty going forward but for an international very poor in the defensive phase and has bobbins concentration. Getting on now to.

I'd keep the rest. In terms of Rodwell and Sinclair-

Both imo are good players with huge potential and they deserve a chance.

That frees up 7 spaces in the squad, gets us a decent lump of fees and trims the wage bill very nicely.

Tevez should stay, hoping Nasri, Garcia and Barry will leave on top of the players you've listed.

Out of that list I think Lescott will stay. The others I agree. Barry for me has given great service but his lack of pace is catching up on him at the top level so i would add him to go.
