Brian Kidd & Dave Watson, when we beat Ipswich Town 2-1 at Maine Road back on April 2, 1977; I was in the Platt Lane that day.

Main Stand for me :-)

you probably got a better view of it than I did then! LOL

I was just a kid, and since everyone would stand up when City attacked the goal my line of vision was partially obliterated, ehehe

:o)

I probably did :-)

That was my first year with a season ticket....I wanted it in the Kippax, but my mum (who bought it) got Main Stand. Remember going to Maine Rd that previous summer with my mate to pick the seats out. Stadium totally empty so we went around the entire ground, all four stands. Wierd running through the Kippax with no-one in it.

Happy memories.

1st one I can remember went many times before with my Dad but when I became a lifelong was 1967 Colin scored we won 1-0 against Leeds 39000 + gate

Mike Doyle vs West Ham in 1973 at Upton Park. City lost 2-1. I think Bryan "Pop" Robson scored their two.

If anyone is struggling to remember who scored the first goal they had seen then get onto 'mcfcstats.com' and if you can remember the year/game then it'll tell you all you need to know.

The founder is no longer with us but he left a cracking legacy for us City anoraks.

Not sure as i was only 4 and it was away at Oldham on good friday 1984 - can anyone help me out? i know it ended 2-2.

I didn't go again for 2 seasons, until last home game of season 1985-86 against Luton. Pretty sure Mark Lillis scored so that was the first City goal i saw at Maine Road.

The last goal i saw was Yaya's --- COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kevin Bond and a certain Mick McCarthy. How unlikely was that?! 500 to 1 against. No wonder you don't remember!
