Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

And for the country? Rather fear for the damage that a Truss premiership could cause between September 2022 and January 2025.

But unless they call a GE and suicide result which they won't then Len's hope is correct - we just have to accept that the shitshow we are in was the second time that people knew what they were voting for voted for and will have buyers remorse incoming.......... we can only help when the country is on its belly and totally fucked that whoever and whatever replaces it has a plan to start to fix it. I am 61 and resigned to the fact we will be the sick man of Europe beyond my lifespan because of lies and clowns

Sunak hammered Truss in that Sky debate and the audience confirmed that at the end with the show of hands.
Sunak was ok but it was a car crash for Truss.
I have a sizable bet on Truss winning. I didn't watch the debate. Should I cash out, I'm significantly up already?

That for me is the most alarming but also most likely outcome, with the damage already much greater and much deeper than is currently understood.

The reason the pair of them haven't mentioned the NHS or the cost of living crisis is because the Tory MPs and party members don't give a stuff about either. This election is about the party, not about running the country.

This is Toryism 101 - They only care about power, keeping power at all costs at the benefit of the membership not the country.

They keep showing the country exactly who they are and what they are about and they keep getting voted in.

Whilst I have a degree of sympathy with the Sunaks' concept of fining people for missed appointments.... what I'd like to know is..... who is going to administer it?

It will mean creating a whole new administration and I have my doubts as to whether or not it would actually pay for itself.
First rule of fight club, never feel sympathy for a Tory.

You’re mixing up posts, I never mentioned the NHS. Thanks for mentioning my absolutely fucking gorgeous hair, I don’t have a fetish about lustrous hair, I have it. And I do love a fine malt. Your researchers are good.

However, technically speaking, I should remain silent. I would bankrupt them in a year. Embezzlement mostly, but my ideas just wouldn’t sell, or be possible, both actually.
Sorry, I just chucked in the bit about the NHS and cost of living crisis as examples of stuff neither Truss nor Sunak (or the party members care about).
As for lustrous hair. I wasn't accusing you of having a fetish for it, I merely suggested that if those running Apple had such a fetish they might choose you as head of R&D.
Embezzlement might be an issue at the top of Apple, but I think you get to keep a high percentage of your salary under the guise of tax efficiency.
And your ideas would sell. Just get your staff to copy the features on the latest Android phones and describe them as "market leading". The media and fan boys will never know.
