Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

Sorry, I just chucked in the bit about the NHS and cost of living crisis as examples of stuff neither Truss nor Sunak (or the party members care about).
As for lustrous hair. I wasn't accusing you of having a fetish for it, I merely suggested that if those running Apple had such a fetish they might choose you as head of R&D.
Embezzlement might be an issue at the top of Apple, but I think you get to keep a high percentage of your salary under the guise of tax efficiency.
And your ideas would sell. Just get your staff to copy the features on the latest Android phones and describe them as "market leading". The media and fan boys will never know.
I like the cut of your jib. You’ve convinced me. I’m going to need good people to shield my abject corruption and gross thievery. Keep your phone on.

Absolutely right. The years of Sunak as chancellor have not been a demonstration of his incompetence in the job. They have been a demonstration of the fact that he had no backbone and would not stand up to the demands of the No. 10 policy unit which means he is still a terrible choice as PM because he has no integrity. The only thing in his favour as a choice is the fact that Truss is even worse.
Yep - he has become a fall guy for the BJ policy failure.

BJ wanted a big change agenda. Great for a story to tell voters but the downside is that it costs money and he had to raise tax to fund it. The tax rises that Tories are moaning about are all down to BJ and his mix of policy (Brexit, Social Care, 40 Hospitals, Levelling up) All of it cost money. He never really wanted to do a lot of it but it created the sound bites that his style relied on.

Now its all Sunaks fault that tax is so high. Notice Liz has dropped the big change agenda and its now all about just cutting tax. Its like the last election and everything since didn't happen. Tory members are fine with that but the rest of us?

Its a gift for Starmer - so much material for PMQs.

Now the much lauded ‘tax cuts’ are not to be interpreted as ‘tax cuts’ per se but instead ‘not raising taxes’ any further.

Government now attacking the Bank of England now for not raising interest rates sooner. It can get in line with the BBC, C4 and all the other subversive bodies that have prevented the Government from doing it’s job…
I didn't hear ministers demanding higher interest rates.

Government Hindsight.

I didn't hear ministers demanding higher interest rates.

Government Hindsight.
Nor I.

What’s going to be equally comical in the coming months will be the ‘new‘ ministers blaming the decisions of the ’old’ ministers when many of those same ‘old‘ ministers will actually be ‘new’ ministers just now in different departments. Going to be a long two years.

fuck me - Sunak saying out loud the bits he is supposed to only think.................. where he is speaking looks horribly deprived - where he is stood there is nowhere selling humous within 10 miles !!

That's par for the course, the Tories see regional development as nothing more than throwing good money after bad.

If you're poor in a poor region and want to escape being poor you have two options, die or move.

‘Red Wall’ voters will love to hear that. Doh!

No that's the point. All of them have views that don't tie in neatly with the rest because they are real people not cartoon characters.

Rascal is anti-war, pro CND and a communist therefore he "hates Britain" and needs to go to a "Prevent" re-education camp.
