Who should replace Riyad Mahrez?

You only to have look at his stats at Leicester to see this isn’t true:

Champs league:

Leicester - 9 games - 4 goals & 2 assists
City - 46 games - 16 goals & 14 assists

Prem

Leicester - 139 games - 39 goals & 28 assists
city - 145 games - 43 goals & 37 assists

Mahrez was absolutely exceptional for us and Leicester. He is a true world class winger and we will sorely miss him imo. If any of the 3 youth players have half the career of mahrez they have done incredibly well.
This!

1 in 3 for goals & 1 in 4 for assists at the highest end of football is nothing to be sniffed at, & will be extremely difficult to replace.

"Mahrez FFS" will be replaced by "Mahrez why the fuck did we let him leave?".

Quiet news day so you lot have decided to take the piss out of me or other posters?

I am afraid Mahrez is irreplaceable right now, Pep kept it stoic in his press briefings, but what he said about his transfer was kick in the teeth for us. Didn't we just give him a contract extension?

How is a player who didn’t start most of our biggest games and only scored 8 goals from open play in all competitions irreplaceable?

I guess I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding why we wouldn't move to at the very least bring in one experienced high level wide player to replace Mahrez who IMO is exactly that...

Who do you suggest who is used to playing in a top team, playing against packed defences week in-week out, with a requirement to score, create and keep possession well?

I just don't see other teams players having to come up against the same issues we do. Being successful for a different team doesn't guarantee being able to do what Pep wants. Our players should at least understand what's required.

Can’t see anyone coming in tbh as I honestly think that our transfer business is done kovacic for gundo , silva foden and palmer will fill the Mahrez side . If gvadidol was coming. He would be here by now and like I’ve said all along we have to sell a defender first .

Nothing is a guarantee but players the level of Gnabry, Coman, Sane, Dembele, Raphinha, Chiesa would all be worth a spot...
