Never EVER would this happen again!!
The best bar none.Roger Mellie - if he counts
I used to get Spiderman and Thor (same.magazine) delivered every month. Think one of them was upside down so when you read them both, it looked like both was the front cover. He is, but common place throughout my childhood in comics, comics and live action telly and to be less special than say a Judge Dredd or a Baron Ironblood, charactors you had to go buy a comic specifically to read their stories.
I bought spiderman, thor, avengers, etc as a kid, but british comics resonated more in humour and story telling, it shows that many of DC and Marvels best stories for me came from british writers who started out doing future shocks , warrior and other comics here.
If I listed top ten favourite comic charactors spideman would probably make 10, because I just enjoyed 200AD a little more than marvel and to alesser extent DC which I was never really in to.
Though spidey enemies were clasic
Mysterio
Kraven
Punisher
Green goblin
Hobgoblin
Venom
Doc Oc
Black cat
Lizard
Scorpion
Some of the best badies in comics
Haha - Hoagy and Stogie, brilliant.
2000AD pretty much the zenith of British comics.
