Who were City's best three and worst three managers ever?

Best:

Mercer
Book
Mancini (Though its early)
Also dishonourable mention to Kendall who did a good job but whose leaving left a very sour taste.

Worst
Allison 2nd time
Ball
Clarke

Madcap managers who had inspired moments but with major faults:
Bond (though I never really liked him)
Keegan wonderful first season but in the same league as Allison for some financially mad signings.
Sven Completely schizophrenic season from the sublime to the ridiculous.

in my time
best were~
mercer
kendall
mancini

worst were~
clarke although i liked frank he let himself be undermined by the fiftth column
kendall probably his biggest cock up of a career move leaving city when he was on the verge of something special at city?
bond jonny bonds most stupid decision was in the 81 final replay not to play his 2 most experienced players tueart and tommy booth when spurs had sussed city after the 1st game,

top three.

Joe Mercer/Malcolm Allison
Bobby Manc
Tony Book

worst
Phil Neal (total plonker)
Alan Ball (nice guy but not a top flight manager)
Steve Coppell

CTID

prima

If you look at the "jobs" he did elsewhere I think you might want to consider editting out the words top and flight from Alan Ball!

Not counting Steve Coppell

The Best one's

Joe Mercer (but Roberto is coming)
Roberto Mancini
Tony Book

Alan Ball
Frank Clark
Mark Hughes (don't care what anyone says, the man is a horse's arse).

Why exclude Coppell from the equation - hahahahahaha?

I'd agree with your analysis except Frank Clark would be replaced by Steve Coppell.
