should be a great game. think both managers will brief there players to avoid any major tackles, and play a very easy game that should be something to savour

Plus, aside from fitness etc, it'll give our players the chance to play at the Nou Camp. The lads will spend 2 days in Barcelona, getting the team spirit going, then walking out at the Nou Camp and not to worry about the result will be a great boost for us.
Plus, I think Hughes heard I was after a short summer break, so pulled a few strings at Barca so I could go on the p!ss for a couple of days and enjoy the sun.

Its a positive in my book, raises the profile of the club and puts us in a different light which may help when trying to recruit. The major plus though is we dont want to fall behind the rest of the league in where we are fitness wise and this team needs as many games as possible together to gel. On Saturday there were instances where the guys were just not on the same wavelegnth and that will only be resolved with games. An example was when Adebayor tryed to put Ireland in on the edge of the box. If he had been playing with him more he would not have put it on the wrong foot.
In previous seasons teams that have participated in the intertot have generally got off to better starts in the premiership. If we get injuries thats a shame but you will always get them and thats why we have a big squad. Lets take advantage of it.

I think it's another opportunity for the players to try and gel as a unit, although this does depend on us actually getting the ball.
