Why didn't you go to the Leipzig game?

Do we have more fans outside Manchester than we think? I applaud anyone who even considers four hours travel for an uncompetitive group match. I have to force myself to travel 4 or 5 miles for midweek matches.
The irony is that we need a bigger ground to build a bigger fanbase to cover the midweek games when regulars don't go.

It’s also a dangerous game as day trippers want to see a successful team. The next time I visit the USA I want to take in a Brooklyn Nets game not a Memphis Grizzlies.

There is room for both sets of fans. If they treated both with equal respect and both have equal enjoyable experiences then the one set of fans they prefer would have a much more enjoyable experience.

Imagine paying all that money to sit in a dead atmosphere.

There was a Barca fan I follow on twitter who went to the game last night, he was so excited in the build up but massively underwhelmed post game, he goes away with a negative experience now, one he probably won’t use to return but the club have his money and the spreadsheet looks healthy so some no marks are doing their job and getting the likes on LinkedIn.
Maybe he should have gone to the Barca game, where they got battered by Bayern with under 40,000 in attendance?

;-)

Tell him to come back to City for a big game with something on the line.

I don't even want that, just to be respected for making the effort, by decent customer service, since fans returned the service is utterly shocking, 2 of my relatives, regulars for decades have given up over mobile ticketing, few of us wanted that, but it saves on plastic cards..... (there's no difference to getting in (well other than it works less well)).
Nothing to do with saving on cards it is the aggressive controlling of fans sharing tickets and fans data that was the motivation.

I took one of the guys I work with over here a couple of years back and flew over for the 6-0 Huddersfield game I think it was, he’s taken us up to benfica a few times and although he loved Manchester and watching city play, he said going to the Etihad felt more like a ‘process’ compared to what he is used to, I think he meant too synthetic.

games Over here seem far more gladiatorial with all the noise, flags and smoke bombs - enjoy the atmosphere but just wish I was watching city instead

It seems to have stopped touts, but you can still share with friends and family.
Very little evidence of touts at home games in 18 years.

Sharing is being monetised by other clubs this season, either as a one off fee or a match by match basis, and seems like the direction of travel.

not sure where you have been touts at every game since we moved to etihad until at least Covid times.

I didn't follow social media for a while but when I checked more people are talking about the attendance than the actual game. The media and rival fans have successfully diverted the attention again haven't they.

Why are we the most scrutinized club in the world ?

Yes, thanks to Peps post match comments. Very annoying he did that. Ammo for the enemy.
