Why does Mark Hughes think Bridge is worth 15 Mill

Surely there is alot more out there for less money and even if he is loose with money he could get Chiellini, Lahm, Zhirkov, Capdevilia. Outside guesses could include Maxwell from Inter, Antonio lopez from Athletico Madrid

IMO Mark Hughes should get great wing backs and play 3 centre backs. Could make him a famous tactician you never know.

Wayne bridge, 28, can't even challenge Ashley cole. So why should he cost us 15 million ?

many people are saying chiellini is the best defender in italy at the moment. he plays for the biggest club in italy too. what makes you think we could buy him for £15 million ? lahm plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world. again, are you sure £15 million would buy him ?

Bridge isn't even worth £10m, he's sat on the bench for most of the past few seasons and desperately out of match practice, why anyone thinks he's worth paying £15m for is beyond me. He isn't even that good!

My point exactly =] he will get slaughtered in games when nobody helps him. He is like a slightly better Garrido. Good attack, bit of pace, and he isn't ever good at defending.

Wont take time to settle in the Prem, looks like the kind of player to fit that piece of the jigsaw,
And I think it would be interesting if we had Bridge at left back and Garrido Left midfield.

safer option is bridge left-back and garrido flogged to some spanish relegation favourites

wayne bridge is the perfect left back for us - do we really want to buy lahm who is right footed? doesn't know the premiership at all and is very small...NO...wayne bridge knows the prem now inside out, is a british player which will help in the dressing room and has bags of experience! he fits the jigsaw as some one previosuly said....

he isnt the worlds best, but we are not going to get the worlds best are we...look at chelsea...they signed him from southampton i think it was...then year later when they ae established and challenging they went on to sign the best left back at the time in the world.... this is what we will be doing in 2 3 years...these type of signings are to get us to where villa and everton are....and when we get there we have the resources to push them out the way ...

hughes has said many times we need experiance to fit straight into the side and wayne bridge is just what we are looking for, whatever the money im afraid to say to get exactly what we need at this time,if we do get him imho its a very good start.

i agree to a certain extent, we can get better for the money but we need someone NOW and who can we get in NOW, plus, we're going to pay over the odd's for whoever we want
