Why does Stuart Pearce hate City so much?

Just seen the crowd applauding him at 3 minutes. Didn’t realise this had happened.

Football doesn’t matter, nor do his supposed opinions of us at this time. Wish him well and speedy, full recovery.
Was there today but didn't know what happened with him.
Forest fans singing Psyco Psyco a few minutes into the game was a bit confusing. After hearing what happened
didn’t hear any City fans joining in with their backing for him, but he's not aswell thought of here as he was at forest.
But he's got some Blue blood in him, even if it's only a small portion.
Get well soon Mr Pearce.

To ground the flight, must’ve been a serious medical incident.

Hopefully not too serious, look forward to him being a miserable bastard on next years CL games.

I have nothing but respect for him as a player, proper old school defender who wasn't just a hardman/psycho but a great defender who was good going forward.
Plus I wish his health all the best.
I think the reason he hates us is that when he managed us, it was made clear that he wasn't cut out as a manager. Managing us essentially finished his career as a manager.
He had done well with England u21's but anyone, and I mean anyone could have managed that group to a high win ratio

Happened on a flight I was on slap bang in the middle of the Atlantic, a nurse and a doctor who happened to be on board tended to a guy who was in a bad way but we carried on another 3 1/2 hours to Heathrow. Maybe Pearce had better insurance

He spoke very well about City in the end of season video after we'd got promoted in 2002. So he turned out to be a shit manager and is bitter about how things panned out at City. He's still part of our history.

Or maybe and more likely he didnt get taken ill slap bang in the middle of the Atlantic. Pilots know the insurance details of their passengers though, of course they do...

A story from a neighbour who was a commercial pilot

He was captain of a return flight from Spain. The aircraft had been pushed back and was just about to taxi to the runway, when the lead cabin crew member knocked on the door and said "we've a major emergency with a passenger"
Barry, the captain replied " ill contact control for a doctor"
She said "we need an undertaker, he's dead!"
Barry contacted the control tower and they refused the aircraft could return to the stand, so it had to take off and fly back to the UK with a dead passenger sat next to his bereaved wife
