Why I'm giving up on football, City and Bluemoon

Got me very close to fuckin it off that season it was excruciating... 10 home goals all season was easily the worst season I can remember in my lifetime including all those you mentioned, not sure I agree with Horton being on that list either really.
No i suppose that was a bit harsh especially as he signed Rosler!

I certainly don't feel as passionately about it as I have done previously that's for sure. All feels a bit snide and I am sick of being accused of saltiness when calling out what is quite obvious bias against our team.

If we win the league this season I think it will be the greatest achievement by any sports team ever, I could and may well happily bow out at the end of the season if we do indeed go on to win it.

Yeah...after a lifetime of supporting your chosen club through years of good times but mostly bad ...let's just jack it in!!

FUCK THAT
I understand his viewpoint, lot s of Blues were on the brink of quitting the forum-many have! As for not saturating yourselves in the negative Media frenzied horse-shite.....just change media outlets and sources.

You are right though, you should always keep the football.

So this is my last post. 55 years after my first match seeing City. 10 years a season ticket holder 1985 to 1995 until work and family took me too far away. I was there in 2012 and was there for that Tuart goal. Been to many but not all recent cup finals.
I have been vocal about VAR, CAS and FFP.
So, today I have decided I have fallen out of love with this game, the trolls on this forum and the corruption hiding in plain sight both financial and governance. Refereeing and game manipulation and arguing the toss with morons and hypocrites.
My passion has faded with each passing year of vested interest interference, press compliance and journalistic spite.
And, yes, VAR has killed my excitement. Thank God we didn't have to wait for it in 2012. A moment that will never be repeated again in football history.
In truth, this has been coming for a while. I will sign off and find a new passion. City are not to blame. I watched football for the fun and passion. I now know more about global politics, financial compliance and sports governance than I do about our own under 18s. Something has gone drastically wrong with the game.
Our own forum has also become raggish and dipperish, misogynistic and trolled by posters who don't even support the club... And then the fans who love certain players rather than the club. Yes I'm old and I won't be missed but I already feel better letting go. Good luck fighting the good but ultimately doomed battle.
Thanks City for the best and worst times of my life but life is too short.

it is easy to understand why, your reasons for going to games have almost gone.

we all need change, but there comes a point where to many changes happen and it ends up a controlled drama.

Its only a matter of time before a panel will decide what the result of a game should have been and the actual game itself is ignored, like when pools panel sat in when to many games where cancelled due to bad weather.

I've supported my club for 51 years, me being 53.

I've seen it all, like many of you and yeah, came close to saying 'fuck football' whilst never switching ideas to support someone else.

City are me, I am City; we are one and the same.

We've both been down and fought our way back. We've both been belittled, underappreciated and gossiped about, but throughout all the lies, we've maintained the fight to exist.

No scum law bending officials, media or oppo fan can prise my club from me.

City cease to exist for me, when life tells me I have to go and only from my cold, dead hands.

Like true Blues say; I'm City til I die.
