Dont know how people can compare winning CL with staying alive after group stage.
"We wouldnt win it anyway". That's sure because when Mancini did OK in the group stages with Inter he went trough 4/4 with them he never won it as he always failed in later rounds. Never reached a semi final with Inter. Even if they spent more money on wages than Bayern, United, Milan, Barca. Only Real and Chelsea spent more money on wages in Mancini's Inter years.
Now its little bit worse as only Real, Barca (PSG) gives higher wages than City but there are lot more teams that are better than us in CL.
But staying alive after group tages is not something extraordinary thing. As other smaller teams with lot weaker squads, lot smaller wage list, lot worse managers prove it every year.
Celtic can be still in it in February ffs.
