I might be wrong but I'm sure he was sacked for announcing he was quitting and then going back on his word.

Nail on head Kev.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good whinge though eh?

Your correct, Didsbury Dave trying to lie to enforce his point shocker.

Does he have any credibility as a poster left because i sure as shit gave up reading his boring monotonous mantra type posts regarding Mancini a long time ago.

He's qualified twice for the Champions League and in qualification 1 we had 10 points from a tough group which would have seen us qualify for the knockout stages in ANY other group that year.

In qualification 2, it has been an unmitigated disaster where we have not won a single game yet bizarrely managed to remain unbeaten at home.

In mitigation, and I could be wrong, but the draw was unprecedented in that the Champions of Spain, Champions of Germany, Champions of Holland and Champions of England were all drawn in the same group. This has NEVER happened before so could be argued as being the toughest group ever drawn in the Champions League.

he was sacked from inter for champions league failure.

At city I've watched us play maybe 18 or 20 European games under Mancini and I'm struggling to remember a good performance. Tough groups or not, we've been repeatedly out thought and outplayed, many times by teams assembled at a fraction of the cost of ours.

You can't spin it any other way than hugely disappointing. And there has been no evidence whatsoever of improvement or lessons learned.

Don't disagree at all; it is hugely disappointing but is it really the time to sack the Mancini just because Moo has fluttered his eye lashes once again? If we had done that last time Moo blew us a kiss, we'd have been left with a full English on our face wouldn't we?

Moo is a winner - we get that. However we seem to take it as a given that he will win us the Champions League. He might do better - get us to quarters/semis even a final but there is absolutely no guarantee. He failed to do so with Chelsea in spite of having a really good team and has failed to do so, so far, with Madrid.

The Guardian says tonight his job is not under any immediate threat at all and there is a degree of understanding from Khaldoon. But does say there is added pressure to win the league now.
Exactly how it should be given the current circumstances.

we are going round in circles. I don't think he should be sacked now, I think he should be given to the end of the season. The candidate pool will be so much better then, and regardless, he's earned the chance to retain his title.

I haven't seem the guardian story but I assume it's Daniel Taylor and I assume he's got that from Marwood. I wouldn't expect him to say anything else, although if there's a veiled threat in there it could be significant.

I think everyone with perspective agrees that failure to win the league will see Mancini out of a job. He's under huge pressure and that could really ramp up over the next couple of weeks.

Alternatively he could turn it around like he did in the wembley derby 2011 and after highbury 2012. A lot will depend now on the players too. At the risk of opening up a new can of worms, There could be a chance they smell his blood.

It's not Dan Taylor, he's been promoted to some other role now, it's Jamie Jackson now.

"Of course you want players like that at your club but what can you do you know.
When the citykevs of this world start sniffing around you have no chance, they blew us out the water"

Oh dear. So your current stand point is, in fact, that anything could happen ?

You have more positions than the Karma Sutra.
