Why The Hell Would Anyone Want Mancini Sacked ?

I just cant help but feel that we will do so much more with Pep. The sky is not the limit for City. Time to reach for the stars.

As someone mentioned there are a lot of question marks about Pep, what guarantees does he bring? Look at Tito Villanova who has stepped into Pep's role with the same team: http://www.skysports.com/football/leagu ... 26,00.html - is it a case of being bred in the system or pure managerial talent? I would like to see Pep take on a project like AC Milan first. One bad season last year and Pep cracked under the stress, quit his job, and has taken a year off altogether. Imagine what the stress of the Premier League could do to him.

Honestly, I think what Klopp has done with Dortmund is more impressive than what Pep has done with Barcelona. Klopp had much less to work with and no real history with Dortmund before going there, so had to create much of this brilliant setup from scratch.

I've always said Mourinho would be the only 100% guaranteed upgrade over Mancini, but that doesn't mean he's the right appointment. Going off the newspaper reports from the other day, Soriano and Txiki have already ruled him out like they did at Barca because of his bad attitude and all the baggage he brings. Our owners want a squeaky clean image and he doesn't bring that. I also believe they want youth development to be a big part of City which is something Pep (or Klopp but I don't think he would leave Dortmund easily) are more likely to embrace, Mourinho prefers hardened veterans or youngish players already proven elsewhere (like Di Maria).

So the grass isn't always greener... I have major gripes and doubts about Mancini - such as believing he isn't getting the best out of his players at all - but don't feel it'd be wise to rush him out of the door.

I love how many class the Com Shield as a trophy yet we ripped the rags for it last year. It's silverware I agree but most see it as 'meh'.

Mancini has done a great job from taking on Leslies imbalanced group of players to form what we are now but there's still lots of work to do. No forward pairings really blossoming yet and still the same weaknesses ad last season. He was let down by not getting the players he wanted in the summer but to be fair wr had a good enough squad then to play better than we are now. Players not playing to full potential and we are way too slow moving as a unit imo.

If Mancini delivers silverware he should be backed properly in the summer. If he doesn't then he's gone imo but only if the replacement is sorted prior. If Pep takes another job we will stay put as far as I'm concerned. If Pep wants to come I thinks its his job to take and I honestly believe Mancini knows this full well and has done since the start of season.

One thing we must all do is draw a line under the charade that has been European football as our performances have been shit to be frank. We must go full pelt at the league and FA cup and everybody in the same direction. Us losing the derby will be huge though, not for me ad there's a while to go yet but the Media are just waiting, and hoping imo. Better make sure we win then...

I don't know if you really expect an answer to that last question, but here's one:
Turns draws into wins.
Anyway it's disingenuous not to include all the other competitive games we've played like the Champs lge & CC

Spot on. Unbeaten means fuck all if you don't finish first. 6 draws equal 6 points but also 12 points dropped. Better to win 4 and lose 2 as we double the points tally. Common fucking sense.

So if we go unbeaten in the league all season it will mean fuck all?

Being unbeaten is a feat don't get me wrong but you get no trophy for finishing unbeaten and second so on that basis it will mean 'fuck all' as we won't have won the league.

Years down the line people look back on titles and see who won and credits that team, second place rarely and I mean rarely, gets credit. Finishing unbeaten but second will only be celebrated by us as fans. Nobody will look back and say well done, instead they will say we should have gone all out and tried to turn a point into three which is obvious really.

Didn't New Zealand finish undefeated in the World Cup and still go out? Nobody credits them...

Dont let the past of not winning trophies be used as stick to beat fellow fans with when they question why Mancini has to go in the summer. Every fan is extremely grateful for all the investment and also the work Mancini has done to date. BUT we can do better of course.

We have the best and wealthiest owners in the land who have huge ambition to make us THE best. Lets not be scared, lets be ruthless and grab this opportunity with both hands. Greed is good.

Pep/Jose would take us to the next level

What makes you so confident? He inherited one of the best teams in the World, replaced an ageing, waning Ronaldinho with the greatest player in a generation and won a load of trophies. He has openly questioned his own ability and said that he wants to know if he can do it without Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and the rest. Why the confidence that he will come here and improve what Mancini has done? I can understand it with Mourinho (although I disagree) but Guardiola just seems like the new glamour name.

Dont underestimate a mans ability to manage a team full of stars when they win trophies.
Those Barca players were playing for their manager. They loved him and he implemented a brand of football to barca that has never been seen before.

Just look at what England, Argentina, France, Brazil and Holland have done on the international stage in the last 10 years. So many top class coaches have fallen. So many talents were never unearthed on the big stages

Pep formed the team though. He won trebles and trophies over multiple seasons. It's way to early to compare him to Tito. Pep made massive calls that could have ruined him as a manager really aka dropping stars to bring through younger unproven players.

Klopps done well but staying put is he not? Done nothing in Europe upto yet and still a punt really.

Pep quit because of his wife and child did he not? Finishing second to a great Real side and semi in CL is not a bad season either really. Especially with his backline trouble and losing Villa.

What a bunch of spoilt twats Blues have become. Can't believe someone has listed the amount of trophies that Mancini has been in charge for and then basically said that the FA Cup and League Championship is a failure.

We don't deserve the owners and we don't deserve the players and manager. Some Blues just fucking wallow in failure.....always the fucking victims.

No where did it state that Mancini has been a failure. It actually says Mancini has done a decent job.

You dont have to swear either.

Good thing we've won 7 and drawn 3 of our last 10 then.
Yes but its no different from 8 wins and 2 losses points wise. I don't get caught up with unbeaten records unless there's a title or trophy to go with it.

It would be epic to win title undefeated though, a huge cherry on the cake.

If you draw a game you're opponent doesn't win. So that rule doesn't always ring true.

Personally I want us to break every record in the game, included the longest unbeaten streak. Points are what matters, but I'm never going to be disappointed about extending that streak.

Read it again, the inference is that he has not won enough, and another manager would have won more. That means failure.

Oh, and I enjoy swearing as well. In fact I haven't sworn on this reply, so you probably didn't get my blood boiling like that other post did. I'm just sick of people slating Mancini, and it's becoming ever more vocal on here. It's as if we should just walk out of any group in the CL, when everyone has said that we've had the group of death two years in a row (this year was a bit piss poor though). Oh, and even that **** Neville admitted on the radio that it took the Rags 5 years to learn how to play in the CL - but we think we should be all over it.

As I said, and it's obvious by this Board at times, that some of our fans just love to fucking moan, moan, moan, moan etc, etc, etc (and now I'm moaning about them moaning!). I'm all for giving the players a bit of stick every now and then, but people on here just go way over the top. KNEE JERK bunch of tossers.

It depends who you lose to of course but many teams who go long time unbeaten protect it as record rather than pound away for the three points.

Many say the Arsenal that won the league unbeaten was the best ever prem team but I'd say Chelsea that got highest points total is better achievement and were a better outfit.
