have a lot to thank him for pl,fa cup i dont count cs tbh, but unless things change i believe hes a dead man walking, as mansour wont want a trophyless season. i wouldnt be suprised if talks were underway already to replace bobby.
sumit just isnt right, certain players arent putting in a shift, transfer dealings were a complete balls up, but thats marwood for you im guessing.

Agree, bobby will of course go down in our history as the manager that brought us our trophies and for that i am eternally grateful.

But the way things are being played out I agree that he is now on the road to being replaced. We did not go out and purchase any of the signings Bobby wanted in the summer, and there must be a reason that this did not happen and it is nothing to do with FFP.

It is the direction that Soriano and Tixi want the club to take (along with our owners). Develop youth talent through the academy and bring in a manager they have experience of working alongside and can develop this talent and still allow the 1st team to progress.

We struggle in the first half of games due to our lack of pace and width.

Teams tire in the second half which is when we impose ourselves.

Simple really.

didn't go that way in europe though did it...and how many games have we drawn this season in the prem.

I would not advocate sacking him as I think City more than any other club needs a period of stability. I would however question his indulgence of Mario. Is he trying to prove to the likes of Mourinho that he has the gift to turn Mario into the world class striker Bobby claims he is? This indulgence is having a a marked effect on the team. Do you not think that Augero looks happier playing alongside Tevez? With Mario playing, Sergio does not know when or where to make runs Which he does instinctively alongside Carlos. The rest of the team are probably fed up with his tantrums and sulks which is why they don't complain when he hogs the free kick taking. What kind of message does Mario send out to the hard grafters like Milner and Zab who get consigned to the bench on a regular basis? The most glaring deficiency with Mancini is the recent acquisitions who do not seem good enough. We're they bought by Marwood which is why they are not playing or, if they were identified by Mancini, then his judgement is in doubt. It is noticeable that some of the team have had a drop in standard from last year but this is where the manager should be earning his money. He has to ensure that he picks the right team and that the players are properly motivated. Too often this season our formation and tactics have been suspect and he has to improve on that. Like others have said, I don't think the owners will support for much longer if we appear to be regressing.

I wouldnt say Madrid,United,Ajax,Dortmund tired second half-all of those sides looked as fit or fitter than us, we seem to play a more cautious game in the first half of matches,we have looked a completely different team in the second half of games wether its at home or away.

So is it some sort of tactic Bobby is using or what?

I'm talking in general terms as to why we don't score many in the first half.

It is down to the fact that teams now know how we build up our attacking play...they defend in numbers and put a barrier in front of goal. Because we do not play with width we currently have no plan b.

Against the so called weak opposition, defending for so long eventually tires them out and they get exposed in the 2nd half. However against top draw teams (champions league) it did not happen as they too are at the same level we are. Due to our weaknesses down the flanks and on a quick counter-attack, we get/have got exposed.

Bobby's fascination with Balotelli will also count against him, as will the shambles of the champions league.

He will get till the summer but for me it looks like regardless of winning the title or not, he will depart. I hope I am proven to be wrong and Bobby turns it around. But he needs to start by selling balotelli and getting in someone who can do a proper job.

The january window will give an indication of the feeling that Soriano/Tixi want to take the club in. if none of Bobby's main targets are acquired and instead we bring in others recruited via Begiristain then the writing could well be on the wall.

It is the upgrade in contacts and experience that Ferrano and Tixxi bring and those that will also be brought in that will in fact make Mancini's job easier. I really think that we will see some great progress in the area of player acquisition. Our scouting system has been mediocre, this will change.
