Tin Hat Time I suppose folks !!!
I am a massive fan of Ireland, but he needs to look at De Jongs attitude.
De Jong will never have the "skill factor" of Ireland, but Ireland should and could be able to at least do the work that Nige carries out, virtually in every match.
This is a guy (Ireland) who never had a decent summer holiday, told everyone how "super fit" he was and then when given the opportunty couldn`t be arsed to "do a bit of overtime" for the 90 minutes on a football pitch.
Stevie my son,you need to look closely at yourself.
Skills in abundance but last season your work ethic was absolutely crap.
No taking the piss with nonsense like "I cant play in this, that and `tother position"
Other players have to learn !!
About time you did.

Forget about him being rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack last year ?

Glad you used the word "suspected"
Now if anyone had heard anything to the contrary then I`ll gladly raise my hand.
However if that was the case WHY ARE CITY still giving him opportunities ??
Surely if was a heart problem he wouldn`t even be considered for any type of team selection.
Unless that`s what Bobby Manc was referring to ref Irelands head "being messed up ??"

Ireland's the younger player, technically superior, and on his day he's the better player.

I'd rather we forgot about Milner if it meant we kept hold of Ireland.

If Ireland leaves, it'll come back to bite us on the arse.

Ha Ha Ha Ha you should be on the stage I think a bit of wee has come out, you obviously don't watch or understand football (shaking head) sit down you're makin yourself look silly

This was the abuse I received just for giving a reasonable and complimentary take on the degenerates favourite boo boy.

And this particular cretin's take on Ireland?

Give em 20 mil plus Ireland kills 2 birds with one stone, improves our midfield dramatically and worsens theirs and we offload the lump of turd called Ireland that so many fools on here worship, he's a mid table player at best

Some of our "fans" don't deserve their fucking benefits (the above poster a fine example) never mind a successful football club.

I despair sometimes.

here we go! ireland is clearly going to be sold and, guess what? he's going to score a goal. maybe a cracker. maybe even against us, and there will people coming on here saying "told you so!" well i've got news for those who do! there were over a thousand goals scored in the prem. last season, and steve ireland scored two of them. point is, lots of players score goals. so when superman gets one, please don't come on here citing it as reason not to have sold him.

I would sign him but no more than the 20mil offered.
Let him go to the dark side if he wishes, as we are going places, not them.

PS _ 1st post on the board, Glasgow Blue who is City through & Through! And my lad is mad for It!

dont care how good he can be or will be - the chances he had to shoot when in on goal over the last few games he actually featured in tells me he isnt good enough. if he makes it elsewhere then so be it but I dont want to wait aroud for him to pull his finger out and take the chances he gets whilst others pass by. he has had his chance - blown it - lets move on. sometimes we have to in life and im sure if he goes we wont fall apart after all we managed when j barton left and he made us the team we are today - haha!

Gr8 post, i agree

Attitude and Ability,

This is rarity and one at this point in his career that Stevie has not come to terms with. Potential to be a real asset, however he really need sto show the attitude and hopefully we have the management in place to get the bset out of him.

If we can do that then Stevie will not be leaving CITY for a good few seasons and be a part of our great future.

Article is spot on. Stevie showed last year what he is capable of and if we don't manage to get the best out of him some other club will. I pray to god we are not stupid enough to let him go the shite down the road

Let him go to the scum - straight swap for Bebatov (squad player).
Maybe Boby manc could make a man our of Berbatov and get the performances out of him that he used to give for Spuds.

Ireland seems to have psychological, perhaps even pysychiatric problems.
