Why we will win the league!

True. Although, back in 11/12 the situation was comparable at this stage of the season. Except that it was United that had just taken a one point lead over City. And, as we know, they went on to stretch that lead to 8 points before we pulled it back. We currently have the momentum, as United did at this stage in 11/12, but there's still plenty of time for twists and turns.

I'm very much in two minds about Liverpool's game at Bayern. I naturally want Liverpool to lose but it will give them a significant advantage if they are beaten and we go on to reach the SF's of the CL and FA Cup.

Totally, it's not won by any stretch. It's a sprint and we've got a marginal head start, but I'd always take the head start and can't believe some people are trying to spin it that being behind is somehow an advantage!

Yep. I don't see Liverpool as finished yet.

I said to the guy sitting next to me at the Liverpool game a few times to look at Klopp, he was going crazy on the sideline ... waving and jumping and yelling and calling out his players and almost tearing his hair out ... which to me said his players weren’t doing what he had asked them to, they were a little in the not-lose mode ... but then with his team selection he himself had set that tone that day ... a team had a chance to go 10 pts clear by being positive and going for the win, but they came wanting to not lose and protect the 7pt lead they had ...

They could’ve gone 10 clear and they didn’t ... today I have seen exactly the same ... they had a chance to go 7 clear and they couldn’t yet again ...

Difference between being 5 pts and 7 pts ahead is huge at this stage of the season ... 5 pts means only two results swap our position with them ... a game lost and one drawn more than us and we finish ahead of them (on goal diff) ... 7 pts however would have meant 3 games needed swinging our way out of the only 14 left ...

I said this on that first Thursday in January, that we’d win this league because they will bottle it and shit themselves come the business end of the season ... and I say exactly that again tonight ...

Now watch us win the next three ... on paper they all look tough but Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea (seen them tonight?) are all right in the form we’d like them to be in ... so c’mon City - let’s do this!
Talking bollocks.............

Real Madrid is going out of CL to Ajax as it stands ... is this going to open up for us like FA Cup this season?

Dippers are 5-2 for the league with Skybet and we are 1-3. Ridiculous really when you consider there's one point in it, we've got to go the bile pit, we've got more injuries than anybody and twice as many games to play. The bookies never take any chances with us,even when we were 10 behind we were only 9-4.

After watching both legs of this tie so far, I'd rather play Madrid than Ajax.

Ajax were superb tonight, don’t want to draw them if we go through. They reminded me of Monaco when they knocked us out

Its definitely in City’s interests for Liverpool to progress in the Champions League. More games of course, but I’d also really fancy us over two legs if we got them again. We’ve well outplayed them twice this season already and also for 75%+ of last year’s ties.

We could be a victim of our own success in that Fixture congestion could cost us the league this year and if they go out we could have twice as many games over the next couple of months. Anything which levels the playing field helps.
