Why we will win the league!

The following of our players are NOT going on international duty so would get two weeks rest after today's game ...

Aymeric Laporte
Benjamin Mendy
Vincent Kompany
Kevin De Bruyne
Fernandinhio
David Silva
Sergio Aguero

And possibly John Stones could pull out of England (given Pep's latest comments Swansea pre-match)

All of the above should be coming back into playing XI after that period as well, even those who have been out injured, KdB, Ferna and Laporte mainly but even Mendy ... and with Aguero and Silva getting the rest, this should definitely help us in the crazy April ahead.

I'd do a Fergie and pull Sterling out as well. Bollocks to internationals

Mendy in particular will benefit from the rest.

I think the idea of fixture congestion putting us at a huge disadvantage in the title race is pretty much null and void now. After the international break we will only have one more league game than them and an FA Cup Semi-final. Liverpool are likely to have four Champions League games and hopefully so will we. If we reach the final in either competition, they're not until after the league season is over. All in all, we will probably have two more games than them. We should have an almost fully fit squad for the run-in so we can more than cope with two extra games.

Think it’s a case of grinding out the results from now till May and dare I say June if we turn it on in the champions league. They keep finding ways to win which is impressive. I wonder if Liverpool’s obsession with the European cup might take their eye off the ball in the league if they reach the semis?

Most of our extra games were over Jan, Feb and early March. The extra rest and warm weather breaks doesn't seem to have done them much good anyway

Well put. It's very interesting to be a Blue right now. What a club.

Opposition keepers said not helping us. Fulham keeper dropped easy ball and then gave away penalty when’s plenty of defenders around to help him. How many keepers going to hand wins to Liverpool this season.
