Why we will win the league!

If they go into the Newcastle game as league leaders, we can safely say they'll manage to get it over the line. In fact I'll go as early as Matchweek 34 when they play Chelsea. If they're top after that, it's like having one hand on the trophy with the remaining games being Cardiff(A), Huddersfield, NewCastle(A) and Wolves.
Hopefully two of those teams will still be scrapping to survive. Those games won’t be gimmes.

but that isn't universal is it?

i for one am a bit worried as Liverpool have lost only once this season, to us away. Their home record this season is W13 D2 L0. And they've never looked as steady in previous seasons as they have this one, granted they've had a few draws thrown in recently which has been a very welcome sight. We've shown, on a couple of occasions, that we can pluck random shitty defeats out of thin air (home or away) even in a good run, so that is grounds for the more nervous of us to feel that we could do it again.

i know City finish strongly but these injuries, the United away game and the flood of fixtures is a huge challenge!! the meedja can say what they like.
No of course not because everyone considers them self above external stimuli.

Why are we less likely than them to go on an unbeaten run?
Don’t forget Liverpool are the team that literally threw away a 7 point lead with no injury crisis or anything that should’ve prevented them to win.

Come off it. Decided with four matches to play?

Im usually quite optimistic but I agree with vmsuhail. Liverpool's next 4 are Spurs H Southampton A Chelsea H Cardiff A. If they win those they will win the league in my opinion. With our tough sceduled I think we'll drop 4-5 points so we need Liverpool to drop 4 points from those 4 games.

At the moment I have us both finishing on 93 points. Whats clear is thats its going to the wire and we also need Liverpool to progress in europe - hopefully 4 tough games and a heart breaking last minute VAR decision against them to increase our chances.

b'cos in my opinion we have harder games. And i'm a City fan of the 80s/90s. I haven't moved on.

As things stand we need to win every remaining game as we are unable to take any more points off Liverpool. If they drop points then that gives us some leeway but I can see a desperately tight finish as we only have three home games left.
Agree with that. Didn't go along with some posters who envisaged a 4 or 5 point winning margin when we went top last time. Can we do it? Yes. Will we do it? Not sure is my answer. One thing that has pissed me off all season is the way the opposition plays against them in comparison to us, B'mouth being one example. Can't see one of us losing form, so I'll reiterate what I said a few weeks ago. With no wiggle room now, one dropped bollock could cost either of us the league.

I don’t know, maybe because I’m still young and wasn’t around for that era.
But I’ll tell you something, one of my earliest clear memories is is beating Gillingham in ‘99 and since then I’ve always believed that, with the right backing, when the chips are down City will perform.
This has been reinforced (if we ignore the Pearce years) with the title/cup wins, to be honest I think we are underappreciated as a team and our mentality.

Who collapsed when it was their year last time? It wasn’t us. Who collapsed when the entire world told us united would be champions and had a 6 point lead with very few games remaining? Again it wasn’t us. Time and time again we deliver, and yet every day we’re told we are fragile, that we can’t deal with the pressure of leading that pep is a bald fraud whilst simultaneously being told Liverpool have the mentality of champions and have all the ingredients
Us grinding out a win? A sign of pressure/fatigue.
Liverpool doing it? Champion material.

Fuck the media, fuck the other fans. I believe in this team. And even if we do fuck it up, we’ll go again next year.
This is the new age city and we are not going to go away.

P.s not having a go at you, I swear. Just explaining my view on it

Sprained his ankle trying to avoid being lapped by Daniel James

Stones and Delph ...

When are they pulling Sterling out? He’s vital for us and can do with the two weeks off now ...

Who else we’d rather wrap in cotton wool than send on internationals?

well, we have lost 4 times this season....
We lost 3 of those in December when we imploded. That form we had in that month wasn't normal. Coincidentally that month was when liverpool were at their absolute best as well and that's the only month they've been able to play like that.

Quite simple: The media.

Like it our not it seeps into people’s subconcious; Liverpool for a fact are super completely infallible whilst we can still be got at. These are the media’s projection and that’s the way people see it.
This is so true. Even when we went top they refuse to admit liverpool have bottled a 7 point lead in fact they were praised for the season even though a few weeks earlier they couldn't stop talking about how good they are and their doing that again now. Where as back in 2012 when we dropped that 5 point lead we were crucified by the media at the time. They dropped a 7 point lead the media crowned them champions yet there is barely any criticism.
