Why we will win the league!

Listen Liverpool could well win the rest of their games,we’ve been through this from god knows when, they’ll fall away riding their luck and so on like today but they got the three points end of,we need to go to Fulham win and win at all costs to stick the pressure on them cnuts when they play spurs,it may need us to win every game to secure the title, let’s hope they do slip up ..

If we don’t win every league game we’ll lose the league imo.

Liverpool are as haunted as united years ago.

More people worried ... tch tch ... did no one see their Fulham game today? Even just see highlights on Sky's news bulletins ... and you'd see they were lucky to take all three points today ... I saw on and off while the game was going on and then the highlights in Sky's news ... now waiting for Match of the Day tonight ... I suggest you watch that ... a bag of nerves their players are at the moment ...

Just sit back and relax ... they'd drop points, and soon ... this ain't going to the last game ... we're lifting it after our last home game (which is second last game of the season)!

After Newcastle there was a lot of woe.

Football is.... Well, we know what it is :)

We face Spurs three times next month, seven games in April, the schedule is our biggest fight here.

But at least we don't have international travel on top of that.

Liverpool have been floundering since they came to the Etihad, with that one exception against Watford they have been mediocre at best.

City can, and will win their remaining PL fixtures, i have no doubt - and whatever Liverpool do they can not win the league if City do what we all know they can.

Liverpool are not winning every single game i dont know why everyone sees us slipping up but not them

Think Liverpool will lose one and draw one .still going to be tight but on our day we can smash anyone. Our game at the swamp will be a big test. Come through that with three points and I think the title is ours

I think the idea of fixture congestion putting us at a huge disadvantage in the title race is pretty much null and void now. After the international break we will only have one more league game than them and an FA Cup Semi-final. Liverpool are likely to have four Champions League games and hopefully so will we. If we reach the final in either competition, they're not until after the league season is over. All in all, we will probably have two more games than them. We should have an almost fully fit squad for the run-in so we can more than cope with two extra games.

Think of it this way, 13 games without a mid-week break until the final League game. I don't know how we are going to manage that especially when we have tough fixtures back-to-back like Spurs - CP - Spurs - Spurs - United. It's an epic achievement if we can manage a Treble from here.

I honestly don't see who's going to give Liverpool much of a game between now and the end of the season. They look a bit rocky, as when Fulham equalised, but they're getting the job done, bit by bit. The team must assume that dippers are going to win everything between now and May, and will all their games. Then, mathematically, the title is ours. It can be done.

Why wouldn't Spurs and Chelsea give them a hell of a fight? They are not guaranteed Top 4.

Wolves last game? I suspect resting players for cup final

Even if they don’t rest players, those on the field won’t be putting in the 100%, minds elsewhere on the final next week and also no one would want to get injured there just before a final ... so perhaps Watford doing them in the semi would be better for us two fold, easier final and them hvaing their last hurrah at Anfield itself, no final to look to.

You may be right but I suspect if Liverpool need to win at home the last game of the season to win the league they will. However fingers crossed it’s the net spend trophy they are given

And Newcastle ....imo

If they go into the Newcastle game as league leaders, we can safely say they'll manage to get it over the line. In fact I'll go as early as Matchweek 34 when they play Chelsea. If they're top after that, it's like having one hand on the trophy with the remaining games being Cardiff(A), Huddersfield, NewCastle(A) and Wolves.

If we win the league this season it will be a staggering achievement. The fixture congestion is horrific, we have 4 key players out injured, 2 of whom (Mendy & KDB) are likelier to be rustier than the hull of the Graf Spee if/when they do come back, there are some stinker fixtures against bus parking counter attackers (the rags, Palace, Leicester), and as we saw at the weekend there are one or two squad members that we just can't rely on in the heat of battle. The dippers meanwhile have Gomes out......and, er that's it. Win it and for me it will outrank what the Centurions did last season

But yesterday we had more points than them a slip up doesn’t mean a defeat

nope, it doesn't. i still find it amazing that people can make such bold claims about teams slipping up or losing and believe themselves as if it's gospel! this has entered the stage of unpredictable hasnt it?

Quite simple: The media.

Like it our not it seeps into people’s subconcious; Liverpool for a fact are super completely infallible whilst we can still be got at. These are the media’s projection and that’s the way people see it.

Come off it. Decided with four matches to play?

but that isn't universal is it?

i for one am a bit worried as Liverpool have lost only once this season, to us away. Their home record this season is W13 D2 L0. And they've never looked as steady in previous seasons as they have this one, granted they've had a few draws thrown in recently which has been a very welcome sight. We've shown, on a couple of occasions, that we can pluck random shitty defeats out of thin air (home or away) even in a good run, so that is grounds for the more nervous of us to feel that we could do it again.

i know City finish strongly but these injuries, the United away game and the flood of fixtures is a huge challenge!! the meedja can say what they like.
