Why you supported our wonderful club

First game The Kings testimonial, rest is history.
Oh and Levie boy at the time

My entire Dads side of family all supported Utd so I said I would. I went to school and my best mate was a City fan. I changed - I was 5 and it meant nothing. Then my mates Dad took me to a game. My Dads side of family panicked that they were gonna lose a fan and took me to Utd the following week (Man United v York in a League game - thank God Utd were crap then.). It was too late and I remained City. Got to say I tended to blame my best mate at the time for the following 30 years of crap...but all worth it now as you only appreciate the good times when you have had the bad times

Dad,Grandfather and Great Grandfather, mother, Grandmother, six uncles, all blues. My first game was the 1956 cup final, aged 4, on my old fella's shoulders.
He told me that you didn't support City, you fell in love with them. Thanks pop,owe you big time.

I was born in Ladybarn , i really did not realize you could be anything but a blue .
Also Auntie Marie used to "mind bikes" in her back yard on Thornton Road .
The walk from Ladybarn with all the Ladybarn boys , Meredith Street , Rink Street , Ladybarn lane , Mossley Road , Wilmslow Road , Platt Fields , Yue Tree Road , Thornton Road , Second opening , Back Car Park , Turnstile into the Kippax , simple .
First did that walk in 1952 .

Got it from my Granddad as my mother wasn't a big fan of sports. He made sure I was aware of my heritage and that I followed it. He's 85 and sharp as a tack and loving every minute of this era!

Spent early childhood in Openshaw :) Mother was a City fan who converted my dad whose family were all reds. Dad started taking me to Maine Road in 66. My whole family are now blues.

I consider myself to have City blood running through my veins since the womb, but when I was a nipper, mam did say i could follow any team I wanted. However, if it wasn't City, they were putting me up for adoption
