I thought Walker had a shocker today. Lost possession loads of times, overhit crosses and of course his contribution to their goal.

We shouldn’t be worrying about who the ref is against a side 47 places below us in the league.The joke is, Im guessing most of us who saw Taylor was ref were literally waiting for him to take his opportunity to shaft us and he didn't let us down. Its not even subtle but us City fans just seem to take it.
Don't really think you can fault the players they just didn't have their shooting boots on. It was literally 'one of those day's' and we haven't had many this season.
The bigger blow for me is the loss of Delph for three games. Zinchenko has been impressive, but the next three are huge games and it's a huge ask for a young makeshift left back. His naivety could cost us.
Heap of wank. Ifs and buts thanks to the red card but we could still be playing and still not have scored.
Danilo was dross, Bernardo needs to at least try using his right foot, Gundogan's good decision making in the final third is the anomaly to his game and why is the Sane thread locked? It's usually quiet when he's wank but keeping it locked is a tad extreme.

Nice to see the soul of the club still alive and kicking. For a while I thought cityitis was gone forever. Very poor from us tonight but to be honest we’ve rode our luck on quite a few games before this. The league cup journey was built on just doing enough rather than superb performances.

Dreadful refereeing all night.
The sending off is just wrong and even worse the inconsistency with decisions in the second half then makes it an even worst performance by the officials.
Walker clearly at fault but i thought Stones was poor all night as well.
Ilky wasteful (again) and Ferna should have buried his chance.
B silva and Sane (first half) just not doing enough.
Bravo should have done better with their goal. His shot stopping simply isn't good enough. I hope Pep doesn't play him in the final but I think he will....he is a week link both from his shot stopping an this distribution.

Pep wanted such tackles taken care of. It was taken care of, albeit hamfistedly by a known red. My only problem is consistency, such as the tackle on Sergio, where the player goes in high to begin with, then follows through even higher...at knee height and catches Sergio flush on the inside of his right knee. Then, Sané gets called for a foul with his foot going for a ball at thigh height because a Wigan player put his head down?!
We are letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. We are trying to make the perfect goal, instead of taking chances as they fall. Indeed, the one time Aguero took a pop, the ball inside to a wide open Gundogan was, err, wide open!! One of those days that makes it so very difficult to get over the “Typical City” monicker, and we will have to live with some ribbing for a week. Lose the EFL Cup and it will continue and the word “CRISIS!” will be all over the media. This is who we are now....lose a game, regardless of who it is against, and it becomes an actual story! Whodathunkit!!!
And, lastly, to all those people lauding the way Wigan played....well, what can one say when they win, but seriously???? 17% possession, long ball to lone striker, 10 behind the ball??? If this is what passes for “well played” today, football is hurting. But they grabbed their goal against Goliath, so they are David!
Pep said it is not the fall, it is the recovery. Here’s hoping we show up at Wembley, because we actually NEED that trophy to get the monkey off Pep’s back and stabilize the naysayers and heretics screaming “fire!”

Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Burnley and now this lot. And most of the goals we are conceding are dodgy.
Clueless.
Focus on the huge positives this season you know like being 16 points clear in the league, at wembley in the league cup final on Sunday and our run in the CL instead of picking out 2 draws and 1 defeat in the league pmsl as some sign we are losing it all of a sudden.
