Not worth the risk with two crucial games against Arsenal and Chelsea.
That's a weak excuse. It's 6 days since our last game, it's 8 days to the next one, the next is 6 days later, and the next one 7 days after that. And that's the lot for January. There's plenty of rest time between games. Whatever happened to the argument that players preferred games rather than training?

And if Milner picked up an injury in the Everton game and the same supporters would be complaining about why he was risked. Getting back on topic. today's game has shown why we are going to sign the Bony.
Any player can get an injury any time. All I'm saying is that the next few weeks are fairly light and there is plenty of rest time between games for all the squad and not just Milner. If the boss is truthful when he says he was out with a slight knock, we will just have to accept it as that but you know what will happen the next time the squad is named, all eyes will be focused on Jimmy and his part in it whether that be a place in the team or a seat on the bench, or his absence if that is the case.

But returning to subject, I agree, Bony will be a stunning signing for us.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has said that negotiations are still ongoing with Manchester City over the transfer of Wilfried Bony.

The Ivorian's agent, Francis Kacou, has claimed that a deal between the two clubs should be completed soon.

Monk was speaking after his side's 1-1 draw with West Ham United on Saturday. Andy Carroll opened the scoring for the Hammers with a fine strike but a Mark Noble own goal rescued a point for the Swans.

Monk told the BBC: "We knew we had to match West Ham physically - it looked like two good teams going at it, I was a little disappointed that we allowed Andy Carroll the space to pick his spot.

"The situation with Wilfried Bony is still ongoing. The negotiations with Manchester City are still happening in the last few days.

"I was prepared for Wilfried to go for the next few weeks anyway and I will be ready to deal with whatever comes out of that."

Bony is currently away on international duty.

Even if he picked just a knock in training it is no point in risking the player with two equally important games coming up.

I have been wanting us to sign Bony since I saw him first play last year. I really thing that he can be our Drogba, the man has a lot of skill and is strong as an Ox. 30m might be a bit much but I think in the long run over the course of years that he should be at the club I think that it is a worthwhile investment.

Can't see that personal terms would present a problem. He must be near doubling his money! The big question is: Would The Bone have won it for us today. I seem to remember he did rather well v EFC at Goodison earlier in the season.

Definitely would have. A couple of passes from Navas would have done the trick.

Can't wait until our two Ivorian stars are back!
