Think it will be 25mil which is double what swansea paid for him and what he's achieved thats a fair price! Just be on rag cafe and a lot ov them think its a good signing and defending us on the price! Looks like all the blinkered dicks have come on here because there own don't agree with them! Wouldn't suprise me to see bony score at the swamp this season!

The rags are surprisingly positive about the deal weirdly
It's because it's the same type of deal Ferguson did for years: Sheringham, Yorke, Cole, Berbatov, Saha, Shaw, Van der Sar, Smith, Carrick, Valencia, Young, Fellaini, Mata, Van Persie.

Why on earth do fans worry about the price of every signing? If he's good enough he's a good signing. Let the sheikh and the board worry about whether he's 25 or 30 mill or whatever.

question for our lurkers...........Bony or Falcao????
I will save them the bother, Falcao all day proven, city throw money after money, can't attract world class like Falcao, bony, Aguero, yaya, last years top three goalscorers don't mean shit.

You are very harsh. They have very fragile ego's right now, which is why they invaded the pitch after scoring a goal against the mighty Yeovil. Have some compassion.

Will be a great signing, I thought we needed to sell to afford him so im guessing Sinclair and Nastasic are going to be on there way out. Maybe a surprise as well ?

Worried what their rag mates will say no doubt lol.

I watch a lot of Swansea and Bony is a brilliant striker, great back up to Aguero (if he keeps from from bench) and better than both Dzeko and Jovetic.

I think Arsenal or Liverpool really should have signed him in summer.

Just for good measure. ;-)

Oh the irony.

Red Café lot astounded we'd sign Bony, let alone pay 30mill for him.(if true?) He's, this, he's that, etc. City can't afford him because of FFP, etc. You get the idea. City agree £30m fee with Swansea for Bony http://www.redcafe.net/threads/city-agr ... ny.399975/

Wait a minute. He's the PL top goal scorer playing in an average Swansea side.(no disrespect to Swansea) Imagine what he's going to be like with Yaya, Silva, Nasri, threading balls through to him, and playing alongside Sergio. Ouch!

Anyway, back to Red Café and the Rags on there.

This from a club who spent £60mill on Di Maria and pay him £280,000 a week. Dia Maria has played 12 games and scored 3 goals in the PL.

This from club who spent £6mill on Falcao, and pay him £265,000 a week. Falcao has played 12 games and scored 3 goals in the PL.

Then there's Ander Herrera at a mere £29mill, who's played 10 times and scored 2 goals.

To all the Rags on here, as well a Red café. F*** off and go and watch your over priced and over paid useless Glalacticos. Ha!

Well summed up jrb, I can never understand why the rag vermin come on here in the first place and spout their drivel.

Obnoxious club, with shitbag fans who only think football was invented in 1992!!

Bony and Aguero could be lethal as a partnership, one second you are defending against Bony's power and the next Aguero pops up and offers his pace, power and brilliance.

Bony could unlock a lot more space for Aguero to operate in.

Oh and one more rant.

I could give a monkeys cuss what Man united fans think about one of our deals. They aren't our rivals anymore, they're an also-ran. 6 easy points with a fanbase of mainly clowns whose opinion is Irrelevant.

Sorry Pam, fair play.

Very happy with the player himself, I think he'll be great for us. He'll give us that bit of physicality we're lacking as well as a real goal threat as he's a lovely finisher.

Not so happy with the ACON situation and that we'll lose him every second season for 6 weeks. For that reason alone I think then reported £30Mil is on the steep side.

Good replacement for Negredo as long as that money is guaranteed in the summer. Don't want to pay for the £30m for Bony and then have Negredo coming back.

Try and cash in on Dzeko or Jovetic in the summer as well.

I don't think we need to sell anyone other than Negredo imo, unless it suits us. you know "The Big Picture" and all that.

Needs to be more or less a one in one out policy on non homegrowns.

It's the January window you are always going to get ripped off on the price because the season is still ongoing and they need the funds to get a replacement.

You know what? It probably is. Look at them on this thread 'rags this and rags that'.

Why would man united enter anyone's mind when we look like signing someone?

Aguero top scorer this season. Bony top scorer in the 2014 calendar year. Those two up front will be amazing. I don't think Chelsea's defence would be able to handle the pace of Aguero and the strength of Bony.

For the record, I think Bony is good value for the £25m that the Guardian is reporting. But to answer your question, why wouldn't fans have a vested interest in what the club pays for a player? Every pound that the club spends is one less pound going toward future player acquisitions - every cent means one less cent that can go toward a player like Koke in the summer. And every penny we spend over market value is a penny that other clubs will expect as a premium in future deals. Seems silly to not care about our transfer finances.
