Probably, because despite the fact a blind and deaf goat could understand our 1st choice tactics will struggle against a well organised team, the management seem reticent to adopt a different tactic to overcome stubborn defenses.
Look at the goal v Reading. Tried to walk it into the net for 90 min to no avail, then we finally undo them with a cross and header.

these teams that park the bus make me sick. odd tho they don't do it against united.
need to take shots from outside and players to follow in for the rebound when against parked bus.

United scores many early goals. Even the Reading etc. scores more early goals than us.
Also United play very fast, attack with pace, leave little/smaller chance to opponents to reorganize to sit back deep.
But because of their shit defence they always are under pressure to score.
Like compare they way City is starting to play with urgency, more desire, more pace when at 0-0 the opponent finds a goal and the usual way we play until that moment.
United concede/score early goals they are under pressure right from start their opponents open up more for them as they attack United thats why they get 1-2-3 goals against them regularly.
We could do well with scoring early goals but we do not have any desire to do that. Maybe we do try for 5-10 minutes in the beginning but if we are not succesful we give up and starting our slower, posession based build ups.
Also the conversation of our chances is at fault for this of course. So different things add up.

Dont forget a few seasons ago we played the same way against arsenal to get a draw away. This is what teams feel they must do against superior opposition. It is strange they roll over for the rags though. Credit to newcastle they had a go at least.
