This is the thing... soldiers and those who sympathise with state violence always say "we just do what we're told - it's not our fault" and yet they're usually the first to hate the individual on the opposing side who would say the exact same thing. Even worse they collectivize this outrage to encompass millions of people, a whole nation, the children of that generation and even a flag. I'm sorry but if that isn't brainless behaviour I really don't know what is.

I didn't make the intial comment, however we went to war because we had to not because of some higher moral reason. Correct me if I'm wrong but if we could have got away with it we'd have stayed well clear? How can you presume to know anything about me by the way? You've never met me.

being argentine(now following city because of tevez) I dont understand the resentment. I invasion was cooked up by the dictatorship(who kidnapped, tortuted, and killed about 30k argentines) in an attempt to get the people on their side. "thankfully" we lost, the dictatorship went to shit, and democracy returned.

now, i can understand blues not cheering "argentina argentina" simply because its not their country(like i wouldnt cheer england, china, or somalia) but to hold on to the past and be angered by it is a bit much.
