Will Leeds United ever be a top club again?

Just because you've won stuff in the past doesn't mean you deserve it. I'd like to see the likes of Derby, Forest, Leeds back up though as they all have a decent following
Jesus H Christ; another one. Explain to me why the size of a club's crowd is a determining factor as to their league position. Please. If that was the case, we'd never have dropped down to the third tier of English league football. It's what the team does (or doesn't do) on the pitch that counts.

With the advent of Financial Fair Play (or more correctly Financial Status Quo) I think it will be difficult for any club outside City/Chelsea/ManYoo/Dippers/Arse to break into the top 3.

Only a change in financial rules or a financial breakdown of football would allow Leeds to rise again.

Hope so. A half decent team and they would play 2 cup finals against the scum every season, which would be beneficial for us.

3 League titles
1 FA Cup
1 League Cup
+ Some minor trophy's and plenty of bridesmaids appearances

They've NEVER had a 60,000 crowd at home in their history.

None of the above major trophy's were won before 1968, therefore do Leeds warrant being called a top club?

PS Im biased... im old... i hate Leeds
They won the European Fairs Cup twice as well, which was the UEFA Cup, so not a bad trophy.

I think for a certain generation they might be a 'big' club, but they've been down that long that even those memories are fading. I can't ever see them dining at the top table again - and by that I mean regularly challenging for trophies. They might get promoted to the PL at some point, but it does appear to be a while away yet.

Eventually but not in the next decade.

The big issue they'll have will be the one we are only recovering from, they'll lose an entire generation of fans.

That's possible eventually, but their gates have held up reasonably well even though tickets at Hell-end Road are expensive compared to other clubs at that level.
They might lose fans to televised sport but they've no local rivals to lose fans to and their local egg-chasers play in the summer.
If they ever attracted an honest owner and recruited a capable manager they might well mount a bid for promotion. However they aren't going to get back to the very top in the next couple of decades unless they get a mega-rich owner and FFP is scrapped. - And even then it won't be easy.
So if they aren't going to get up to the Prem they might as well sink to the Conference. Sorted.

The Fairs Cup was not classed as a major trophy even by UEFA or our FA, it was a sort of European Full Members Cup. So its with the minors i'm afraid...

Oohh, you lousy fucker. I knew there was a reason you didn't put their Charity Shield win in there as well!

The only way a Leeds or a Sheff Wed or even an Everton, Villa, Newcastle will ever break into the elite is if an investor comes in and spends a billion pounds

But the turkey's voted for Christmas so no it will never happen. Enjoy your mediocrity suckers
