He's issued a statement apologising admitting it was unacceptable behaviour followed by the usual PR bullshit about trying to be a better person etc.

If Rock is happy to accept the apology this should get shelved pretty quickly now. This will be his defining moment in his career, that's punishment enough.

I honestly think it’s been massively blown out of all proportion which is evidenced by 50 odd pages on here.

I remember Jeremy Clarkson punching Piers Morgan at an awards party and other than a few “well dones” there was almost zero handwringing about the violence aspect.

To suddenly walk on stage at THE biggest awards ceremony on the planet and hit the host is much bigger than some tin pot parochial press awards awards thing in England by a bloke most Earthlings have never heard off, it bears no comparison imo.
You cant compare British Press awards to the Oscars. Or those two clowns to a world famous actor like Will Smith.

The oscars is just a circle jerk for all the self important luvvies to tell themselves how great they are. Its pathetic. They get paid obscene amounts of money to play pretend Yet they think they’re doing something altruistic.
