Will we ever ultimately slay the RAG Empire?

Don't be despondent and pissed-off Matt.

Delight in the fact that we are competing at the top table domestically and will continue to do so, whilst progressing to do likewise on the European stage in time.

Slaying the red devil is not the goal and not the way in which we gauge our success.

It's silverware. FA Cup winners, Premier League Champions, Charity Shield winners and a decent chance of repeating our FA Cup success of 2011 again this year.

Imagine how that list would look to a Gooner, or a Liverpool fan, or a Spurs fan etc.

Despondent and pissed-off? This is a time of great joy for every City fan alive, and nothing the rags do can alter that.

FFS don't start to waver now!
We have them genuinely worried for the first time since the 1970's.
Within the next 5 years we will have them - this much I guarantee. But we all need to keep our nerve, stay loyal, stay blue and keep the faith.
Our time is now. Forget tonight as we we will have many more such nights of our own and they start on Saturday 11th May down in London...

Not if we take any notice of your suggestion. And what's with the empire shit?

Big YES from me, better than the clown who we have at the moment.

Yes and it's already started regardless of tonight's goings on. A new "prolific" forward and a bit more creativity in midfield, then the balance will certainly swing our way even more !.

We have the measure of them head to head, and I now don't feel afraid to play them because I know we can beat them.

They got a class act in Van Persie and ultimately it's his goals that have won em the league, as our forwards have been quite poor, or sold or out injured. If we get a proper goal getter in the summer, then we will win the league, because man for man we are way better than them. We are 20 odd goals off last season and that's why we aren't champions again.

A good summer and watch the blue lion roar again !.

This.

It took Ferguson quite a few years to stop the dominance of liverpool and arsenal.

It looked like arsenal could have been that team then chelsea to break it but they haven't either.

They will be up there for years they have the mentality, reputation and financial power to attract the best still.

I can't see any team dominating the premiership, just 4 teams or so taking it in turns to win it
