Re: Title still possible

Second spot is looking more within reach right now. Its sad when you have the destiny in your own hands and then you put it back in someone else's. Regardless of whether we do manage to pull this one off we should have had the season by the scruff of the neck early doors. Manual is a good man but does he have that ruthless streak? I have my reservations about him, but I'll still believe until its mathematically impossible.

Norwich have to get something (3pts) to give Chelsea fresh hope. If Liverpool win that game then Mourinho will only care about the 2nd leg v Athetico assuming that is still alive after Tuesday.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Jose put out a league cup side, partly out of spite, even though it is still possible to win the league.

Spite against whom?

Pelligrini I'd assume. He can't stick him and would probably prefer his pal Rodgers won the League if Chelsea can't.

Don't think so ... just go watch Maureen's post match 30 second interview and tell me he would rather want dippers to win after publicly taking the piss out of them and saying the FA and referees have given Liverpool the title this year...

Re: Title still possible

Never gave up after Wednesday night, was telling everyone we still have a chance. Looks like that chance has just got a little bit bigger

Re: Title still possible

How many penalties have the Dippers had this year?

Re: Title still possible

Why would Mourinho play a weakened side at Anfield? , they can still be champions despite today's result ( Sunderland )
people are talking like they're a mid table side with nothing to play for

Re: Title still possible

Mourinho would accept losing the title to us. He might not like it, but given the parity in terms of wealth and squad depth, he could probably stomach it. Losing to Liverpool, however, would mean conceding the title to an apprentice and, indeed, to a club for whom he has little respect and a history of enmity. For those reasons I can't imagine him fielding anything but his strongest available team in a game which will be combustible.

If Liverpool drop points tomorrow it gets very interesting..

They have a lot of young players in there team and it will be interesting to see how they cope with a bit of extra pressure..
Liverpool need an early goal. If they don't get it, the pressure will mount quickly

Their last away game at West Ham they were very poor.

Agree with this, if Norwich stay solid for the first twenty, they could get edgey, lose a bit of patience and start forcing passes and making wrong decisions. Then also in the back of their minds knowing they can't afford to concede.

We know from past experiences that the games you think are easier at this stage of the season never turn out that way. Even a draw and i think their arses will go if they know they can't drop any more points and with chelsea and palace away.

It's also our job to make sure we're there if they slip up

Rodgers was once his protege. He hates Pellegrini. If Liverpool win tomorrow and the titles out of reach he will go to Anfield with the youth team.
Liverpool are on a roll, aided by some very poor reffing in the City game, as others have said, lose one game, and the doubts will set in, knowing that one mistake, could cost them dearly, if it comes down to the crunch, their team has never been there, they could well go to pieces, so I think Maureen will try to win the game, he will have seen how they panicked against us in the 2nd half, and know that the title is still up for grabs

Re: Title still possible

Please God I am wrong but if Liverpool were to pick any opponents tomorrow it would be Norwich City and if they were to pick any team to play on the last game of the season it would be Newcastle United.

I think fate has decreed with their lack of injuries, some favourable refereeing decisions and to be fair some excellent football that they will win the league.

Defeats at Sunderland, Cardiff and Villa have done us.

Re: Will we win the Prem (continued)?

The team were all saying we had 6 cup finals then they turned in a lame performance v sunderland so i cant see the remaining games being fought like finals either
