Re: Title still possible

Norwich have to get something (3pts) to give Chelsea fresh hope. If Liverpool win that game then Mourinho will only care about the 2nd leg v Athetico assuming that is still alive after Tuesday.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Jose put out a league cup side, partly out of spite, even though it is still possible to win the league.

I can see lfc slipping up I just can't see city winning the 5 they need to
we might not need to win all 5,end of season mate and it`s unexpected results ahoy...
we could win 4 and draw one and still win the league...
if anything the Chelsea result has raised the pressure a million percent on Liverpool, that seed of doubt has been planted after seeing us and Chelsea drop points, the mickeys will definitely drop points.....
it`s not over til it`s over...

Re: Will we win the Prem (continued)?

If Liverpool drop points tomorrow it gets very interesting..

They have a lot of young players in there team and it will be interesting to see how they cope with a bit of extra pressure..

I'm not sure Chelsea losing helps us win the league, it helps in the race for runner up certainly, but Chelsea are away at Atletico on Tuesday, if they get anything resembling hope from that (win, draw or small defeat), I fancy they'll play a weakened team at Liverpool, with a view to getting to the CL final, its probably Mourinho's best hope of winning something now.

I don't think so. All of the three teams are within a whisker of winning it. Mourinho will be thinking beat
Liverpool and he is within touching distance of the title. I am not saying he wouldn't rather have the CL title - I am sure he would. But i can't see him giving up on the league when there's only 4 games to go and he's still right in it.

If Liverpool win tomorrow and go 5 points clear and Chelsea get a result in Madrid in the week then I think Jose will play a weakened side against Liverpool, it wont be a team that will get battered but it will be a team with the likes of Schwarzer in net, no Hazard and Oscar, Ba up front etc..

If Jose can get Chelsea to a final of the Champions League he will take that as a good season, in fact they have every chance of winning that trophy this season with Mourinho in charge.

I just don't see it that way mate. Mourinho has always favoured players with a great work ethic who will do whatever it takes - hence him getting rid of Mata. And his enormous ego will be thinking he can possibly still do the double. So he's going to throw his strongest team out for both games. He needs a win at Liverpool to keep his title hopes alive and I can't see him just throwing the Liverpool game. He could easily go out against Athletico and then be left with nothing. Playing your strongest team in both ties is like hedging your bets.

Our title hopes in my opinion are dependant on what happens to Liverpool tomorrow against Norwich.

If Liverpool win then I see Chelsea playing a weaker side next week as I think Jose will see chasing the PL a lost cause when he has Atletico to worry about, a tie that Chelsea can win.

I think it's Liverpool's to lose now and I can see them winning it with two games to go if they keep on winning like they are but tomorrow is massive for them, big pressure on them now to go 5 points clear.

No disrespect mate, but this is "I hope it doesn't happen" nonsense.

Chelsea will play to win against their title rivals.

Believe.

Liverpool need an early goal. If they don't get it, the pressure will mount quickly

Their last away game at West Ham they were very poor.

Rodgers was once his protege. He hates Pellegrini. If Liverpool win tomorrow and the titles out of reach he will go to Anfield with the youth team.

Pelligrini I'd assume. He can't stick him and would probably prefer his pal Rodgers won the League if Chelsea can't.

Re: Will we win the Prem (continued)?

I think the Dippers will slip up somewhere. I don't know if we can win all our games, though.
